Labour Party Chair Warns of APC's Plans for Rerun Elections, Calls for VigilanceAbure requested assistance in thwarting the purported intentions for a repeat during an online meeting with the Nigerian-American Coalition for Justice and Democracy, which is administered by Professor Eddie Oparaoji, the chairman of the LP Diaspora in the US. He emphasized that the LP shouldn't be taken off guard because there are rumors that people in power are already preparing for such a result.

"We should also be getting ready," said Abure. "We too should not be taken unawares since all those in government are already preparing for a rerun." Even while the LP's primary goal is the unequivocal declaration of Peter Obi as the President of Nigeria, he urged the coalition to participate and support him, particularly if the election were declared invalid.

The LP Chairman reaffirmed the party's firm view that it won the general election of 2023, citing the information in their possession. Abure stated that the LP expected Peter Obi, their presidential candidate, to be sworn in as the leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. However, the LP should also be ready in case there is a rerun, just in case.

Abure emphasized that the party had provided the court with all of its supporting documentation and expressed confidence that the tribunal would find in their favor.

There much to be said about the just concluded Nigeria's Presidential Elections. However, things are becoming normal given that the Obi's movement calm now and everyone is expecting the supreme court to make the final decision.
