Politics / Re: How FG Spent $2.78bn On Debt Servicing In First Seven Months Of 2024 by richkal(m): 6:08pm On Sep 09
MadPolitician:
This is why Nigerians should rise up against the IMF and the world bank. These two organisations have turned nigeria into a business enterprise by basically controlling Nigerias oil earnings through proxy. Almost sll oil earnings are used to service debts. The two organisations and their parent countries have the habit of supporting the candidacy of corrupt criminals to become presidents of developing nations.

Once these corrupt minds assume power, in order to pay back for all the international support they were given, they will subscribe to all sorts of ridiculous loans with cut throat conditions that includes removal of subsidies, privatisation of almost every high earning government agency and increased taxation. All leading to systematic structural collapse.

Nigeria is using almost all her foreign earnings to service foreign debts today. This includes cash borrowed to shore up reserves. Obviously, such borrowing never came into Nigeria, but stayed in foreign banks, yet billions are paid to service them. For Nigeria to get it right, candidates that dance to the whims of these foreign lenders, should never be allowed into the presidency again.

Unfortunately, there will be no President in Nigeria who will not dance to the whims of these foreign lender.

These foreign elements will do whatever it takes to ensure that such president bow down to their command because they have both direct and indirect control of Nigerian affairs.

There will be more insurgency and these foreign elements will not allow such a person to buy weapon to fight those insurgency.

They have numerous saboteurs among Us working for them to ensure such leader submit to their will.

These days its a bad thing for your country to have mineral resources, it always brings chaos.

Venezuela is in trouble because Hugo Chavez decides to make oil money reach the poorest of the poor
USA was not happy about that
It then imposed biting economic sanctions on them
If not for Russia and China, that country would have gone under by now.
Why did the US do that?
The usual protection of democracy bullshit, and because what Chavez was doing was for Communists and Socialists, not CAPITALISTS like them and if you know how much the American establishment hates socialism you will understand their reasons

Nobody explain it better than you bro. But most people will disagree with this because they believe what the mainstream Media say.

Really ? I'm not aware of that. And if that is true, that means he's a good man who meant well for his country. Sometimes I also feel those Western countries don't want poor nations to develop by giving out loans that changes nothing but still put us and other developing countries in more debt.

Yes you are right. They are doing everything you said so that they will have easy access to cheap resources in those countries.

You see those loans are tools of modern slavery and it is for the developing Nations with huge abundance of resources.

The problem we are facing is very common with countries with abundance of natural resources. (DR Congo is a good case study.)

Venezuela has over 300 billion barrel of crude oil their reserve and this makes them the country with the highest oil reserve in the world followed by Saudi Arabia.

The value of Dollars is tie with the oil supply around the world. If the value of oil goes up, Dollars become stronger and this is more money for the United States.

U.S will do everything to have access oil reserve anywhere it can be found in the world. If you decided not to give them access to oil you will definitely face economic sanction because they control the world market and that is the case with Venezuela but the media will not tell you this because they also control it.

Beside that, Bolivia and Venezuela are trying to build regional and economy integration and this can be a great threat to America influence in that region. They will do whatever it takes to prevent that and removing the president is one of the key strategies.

Just of recent, CIA sponsored a coup to get rid of Bolivia president and they also incited Maduro opponent, Edmundo Gonzalez, to declare himself as president to cause chaos so they can invade the country but the Military remain loyal to Maduro.

Dangote has been a massive employer of labor. Yes, he's also been a great beneficiary of governmental policies but business isn't fair; it's war.

This has been the case all over the world majority of the big banks and companies received bailout funds from US government during the covid-19 recession.

Huawei was supported with over $700 million by the Chinese government when he was kicked out of United States market.

This is the same dude that built the Apapa / Gbagada expressway in exchange for tax forfeiture. Do you realize the opportunity cost for the FGN? It's way more than what the meagre cost of building the road. angry angry angry

If he is not an astute businessman, how come he managed to have presence in 17 African countries and thriving? Couple with the fact the he was invited to come invest in Garbon recently.

Bottom line, if Dangote is given all the crude oil he is asking for, he will run other oil companies out of business. As Dangote refinery is creating jobs, it is also rendering employees of other oil companies jobless.

Rabiu Abdul Samad of BUA foods is also planning to build refinery in Akwa Ibom. Do you think Dangote will run him out of the business? Remember the guy is the producing virtually everything Dangote produces.
