Hello everyone. I'm a first time car owner. I got a Honda Accord 2008. Please I need pointers. I know nothing about cars How often do I need to change oils and service it? What type of oil is best for it? The AC blows fan but it's not cold. How do I go about fixing it? Every other thing in the car is excellent and it drives well. Opinions and advice are welcome. |

billyG: Everything is possible in Nigeria, bank job is 8 to 5job...you gets home around 9pm if you are in Lagos, when do you read, attend lectures,study?...it is only possible via sorting. This is a myopic take. Many of us are pursuing our masters in foreign universities and we are in Nigeria. Others are pursuing theirs in Nigeria and they attend lectures Part time during weekends. We can take exam leave and write exams. The bank has made provision for this. The bank even pays up to 80% of your school fees via bursary for members of staff. 8-5 does not necessarily mean you get home around 9. People find what works best for them and adapt. Getting a masters degree while working in a bank is herculean but it is 100% doable and possible with proper planning and the right support. |

Midex88: Hi brother. Good to hear from you. For a fresh graduate of 26 yrs. 2:2. What would you advise... Is it to go through the graduate trainee... ET or expert hire. Thanks Target other bank's graduate trainee option. Do not limit your scope to stanbic. you can always join stanbic later as an experienced hire. |

Hello great people. Good morning. It's been a while. Trust you're all doing well? There has been a break in transmission from my end. I have been really busy. I changed roles from core branch Banking operations to IT. What this means is that I have moved back to the Head office. It's been a whole new experience and I'm still settling in. However, we still have good news coming in from nairalanders on their recruitment updates. We still have vacancies o. Tailor your CV to fit the roles and shoot. Don't stop applying. https://www.standardbank.com/sbg/standard-bank-group/careers/apply/jobs/view-all-jobsThat's the link to the career portal. I wish ya'll the best. If you have questions, pease drop them here and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge. |

DevilsEqual: How does one know which role doesnt require a background in banking...plus it seems they do not accept 2.2 for their GT Stanbic does not accept 2.2 for GT. Many of the roles on the career page are 0-2 years experience. If you're 26 years and have zero experience, you got a shot. 28 years you gotta have some sort of experience. |

Titilailopemi: Guys please I need help. I applied for an experience hire position in November. Was successful with assessment and interview. However at the next stage for medicals I couldn't meet up cos I was out of town. I explained to the guy sha and he said no problem. Now I'm back and it's been two weeks I contacted them for medicals, he said they will get a new date from the vendor that is the hospital but I've not heard anything. I just want to know if this can still be possible for me or to move on😢 Hi, Stay positive. You'll get that mail. Just do steady reminders. |

Guava: Hi! How did you apply for the experienced hire position please? I'd like to do so as well Please check out the careers page of Stanbic IBTC. Currently, there are vacancies for the role of client service officer (Customer service), Personal Banker (for those who have passion for sales), Franchise Collections, etc. Edit your CV to suit the role and apply for as many you think you're qualified for. Shoot in those applications. I can tell you as a matter of fact that this is one of the best places to work in Nigeria. It exposes you to international best practices. |

Guava: Please are they taking experienced hire? I'm an ET presently in a different commercial bank Yes they do. Someone from here joined stanbic. She was an ET in Zenith. She joined as an experienced hire and her take-home is 389k with ABO grade. Check Stanbic IBTC Bank career page. They're a couple of vacancies there with 0-2 years experience. For those who cannot join the graduate trainee program maybe due to age or class of degree, those are the entries you should be targeting. You can join stanbic with a 2.2 class of degree via experienced hire. You can join stanbic if you're over 26 years without any banking experience. These restrictions are strictly on their graduate trainee route. Stay positive and shoot in those applications. Your congratulations is near. I'm eager for you to join us in the blue family. |

KingClown: Depends on your experience
They might offer you either BTA 1 (203k) BTA 2( 254k)
Mind you stanbic pension (SIPML) is way better than the bank (SIBL)
CSO role isnt easy, get ready to work. You go log applications tire.
All the best Walahi, you're an in-house person You were absolutely spot on. Abeg let's connect. What's your unit? |
