Apologies for the delayed response. Work has been heavy.

BO salary depends. Old BOs (Staff that have been long on the grade) earn about 1.1-1.2.
New BOs earn around 800-900

Not all ABOs earn the same. This said, their annual gross differs.

Hello my people,
I decided to document my upcoming journey from Lagos to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State by road. If you’re planning to travel soon or you’re just curious about the experience, grab popcorn because this thread is for you. 😄

Several factors have necessitated this decision.
First and foremost, I work 9-5 and I am also an avid road traveller (See my previous road trip to Abuja here https://www.nairaland.com/7293326/lagos-abuja-road-nairalanders-experience ).
The nature of my job does not afford me the opportunity to always be on the road. So whatever little opportunity i get, I grab it, snatch it and run with it.

Using Google maps, it says that Lagos to Uyo is 660KM and estimates that travel time is 12 Hrs ( I do not think Google factored in Police checkpoints and bad roads ). Anyways, that's why I am here and documenting my journey via this thread.

I have been to Akwa-Ibom before but as a kid.

This is my first time visiting as an adult.

I will be departing Lagos tomorrow 2nd of April 2026.
I intend using Libra Motors and I will be departing from their Ajah Park.

I have done a couple of research and I am familiar with the route that will be taken.

Lagos (Via the smooth 3 lane Lekki-Epe Expressway) → Sagamu → Ore → Benin City (my hometown) → Asaba→ Onitsha → Awka → Amansea → Enugu → Abia → Akwa Ibom → Uyo.

I will be updating this thread with pictures as my journey progresses.

Yes. As at the time you made this post, Entry level grade for Stanbic is ABO nd starting salary is around 607k

However, things have changed now.

I'm currently in the recruitment process. I've passed the interview stage and done medicals. I had CRC regularisation issues which has now been resolved.

Currently I'm waiting for what's next. So this is my question.

I was employed as an experienced hire I'm guessing, since i didn't apply through the trainee programme. I have no experience in banking whatsoever, only work experience generally.

I applied for a CSO role but after my interview, i was recommended the Asset Custodian role.

Now from your thread it stated that this role is very sensitive and involves meticulousness and care.
What would you advise to help me work better ?

Second question, what grade would i be given for this position? You mentioned that BTA1 is for converted contract staff with 1 year work experience, and BTA 2 is for the same converted staff with 2 years work experience. In this case i wasn't a contract staff, so what grade do you think I'll be given for this role?

Third question, what will be the salary expectation? I already know the answer to this once the second question is answered anyway 😅, thanks for your time sir.

But It has been two months now and still haven't gotten an interview invite. I just wanted to ask if this is usual and if I should still be hopeful.

Two months is a very long time for them not to have reached out. Please reach out to them.

I don't know the starting salary after training school, but last I heard, salary for ABO grade in Stanbic is at least 550k

why do you prefer the note 10+ as main phone and v60 as the alternative, is it because the note 10+ is better?

I have always been a samsung person. my note 10+ comes with a 12 gig ram. and i mostly work on the go so i have never had issues with lagging.
Make no mistake, the V60 is also a monster but i guess my bias has always won me over. This is why i want to sell my LG.

as in eh, I downgraded mine to A10, I still check jiji often to see when another non-refurbished V60 will be on sale, the phone na beast...I have not seen a better daily driver, camera, audio quality, durability for the same price range

and I still think A10 was the last best all rounder android version

if person no really care about android version and the person is not getting a pixel or samsung s series, I believe V60 is a better phone

the balance between battery life and performance is unmatched...
