After so much findings and research,i found out dat literature is compulsory in ISD,,wich i av not done b4, so right now am switching 2 SOCIOLOGY. And i need Ч☺ΰ ppo 2 enlighten ♍ε̲̣̣̣ on that course,in terms of academic activities,social life, department and stuffs!!! Plsssssss

Well, It seems Literature is somehow compulsory for that course in Uniben. Still skeptic about it tho'

Saw someone with Jamb Subject combination; English, Govt, Literature & Economics. (Admitted)

Another used Geography in place of Economics.

There is even a newly admitted student who used CRS in place of Literature. But fear arise if his course would be changed during clearance.

The brochure I consulted didn't do any good as the space for UME subject requirement for ISD (Uniben) was left blank.


So I guess Literature might just be compulsory.. Just maybe. Still unsure.

The subjects should include English Language , History or Government, and any other Arts subject.

Note that UME subjects are:

(a)Use of English
(b) History or Government
(c)One Arts subject and
(d) any other subject.

The subjects should include

i.English Language and
ii any two Arts subjects , one of which must be Literature in English .

I can't find Mathematics there. And from all indications, it MAY not be so necessary.

Admission into various programmes shall be through entrance examination to be conducted on a date to be announced later.

However, there will be no Entrance Examinations for some programmes. Admission into such programmes will be based on the general requirements approved by the Senate.

A date is yet to be 'announced'. Meanwhile, have eagle eyes on Uniben's official website, So you won't be caught napping. Goodluck
