Peter Obi today is that last hope of millions of at the grass roots level in Nigeria . If they understood multiplier economics that money shouldn’t have to be held by only the rich but distributed among the poor like in find in USA through social programs because they are the highest in population, by now Nigeria would have become one of the strongest economies in the world because the purchasing power or gdp of the class that constitute the largest part of the country is empowered…everything you sell or manufacture locally even if you sell food or slippers… na you go chase customer away because there will be liquid money every where . If you call 10 friends for urgent 20k, 8 will send to you and that’s how crime reduces, people will start thinking well , foreign investors start begging to come in because they know there are at least 50m people who can buy their products no matter what they sell …spending boosts economy of a country and the biggest investment a leader can make is spend on Nigerian masses instead of elite political few …the result go Dey like rishuals money on economy of the country but buhari wasted everything on few elites and Nigeria suffered for it

Not suprised cos in his 8 years as governor he was busy playing politics and did nothing . The crime rate was so high that many people, including Lebanese there were many ran away from Lagos. I ran away in 2001 after I saw one small boy they call akanni robbing houses and shooting people unchallenged until gani Adams formed OPC and calmed Lagos down by chasing away those criminals. OPC crucified Akanni on a cross in 2001 in mushin live before a jubilant crowd. When I came back to Lagos in 2011 I couldn’t believe my eyes at what fashola was able to achieve. He is infact the architect of the modern Lagos but tinubu kept fighting him with blackmail and legislators and refused to allow him work due of money in Lagos state purse but he continued. It beats my imagination how anyone would believe a man like tinubu can make Nigeria better in any way, knowing his antecedents

Are you sure you read the book or did you read it upside down as ifeajuna motive was to make awolowo prime minister. Awolowo should have quietly accepted his fate than disrupting the country and hanging it on the head of the young officers. It wasn’t statemanly at destroying ones own country

I agree with that because if he had done that balewa would have rounded up those boys with their ring leader Jeremaih Obafemi Awolowo and executed all of them. Awolowo angst and motive against balewa and north was putting him in prison for treason in 1963 . Read Ademola Ademoyega book
