The Only people who know the history of others and don't know their own are only you the Igbos. Ikwerre people have always detested any association or identity with you people called Isoma. This has been before, during and after the war and even till date. Ikwerre ethnic group has different dialects. Not all Ikwerres use Rumu for Kindred. Some use Omu, Rnu and even the Igbo Umu like Ubimini areas. But your forebears came to Ikwerre land and started to change our names forcefully to Umu. If you believe that Ikwerre is a dialect of the Igbo why is it difficult for you people to accept the dialectical differences in words?

Rivers State is just a political creation. In 1976, there was a 'boundary adjustment' and some parts of Imo State such as Obigbo, Egbema, and Etche were carved into Rivers State

Thats why you have part of Egbema in Ohaji-Egbema LGA of Imo, and the other part is in Egbema-Ndoni LGA of Rivers State

Before 1967 there was never anything like whether an Ikwere person was igbo or not as Ikwere were considered as one of the subsets of Igbo tribe like mbaise, ngwa , Ezza, Izzi , Nkanu , idemmili etc but after the war the FG started renaming the identity of people on the coastal plains like Ikwere by adding Rs before their igbos names with the aim to block a Biafra exit strategy from happen again in future. It’s similar to how they are planning to carve some communities from Anambra north and some close to Peter Obi Anambra central and make it Anioma in south south ..imagine Peter Obi waking waking up one day and being told he is no longer Igbo but south south Lol but all these will only strengthen agitation for Biafra than weaken it the way they are planning
