What?? Your conclusion is brilliant and well understood though. The church of today is nothing like what was described in the bible. MediaSpotLine: but the America of today that Nigeria is copying has no relationship with the Puritan values of the 1800s. This is not even a time to use the backdrop of America as something beautiful to copy from. As a nation, Nigeria needs to come up higher. America is a nation in crisis, and it did not begin today. The Judeo-Christian values that were available in the 1800s are no longer available today. But what is puritanical or Christian about rebelling against the authority of the sovereign state (the crown in England) in a violent insurrection to establish your own state? What is puritanical or Christian about ploughing your fields and creating produce using humans you have purchased like chattel and termed "slaves" ?? |
