NRM Governorship candidate in Rivers State Adopts Mr. Peter Obi for President. The Gubernatorial Candidate of National Rescue Movement (NRM) in Rivers State, Hon. Amb. Sobomabo Jackrich, has endorsed the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, as its sole candidate for this Saturday's presidential election. While adopting Peter Obi for President, his press statement reads; PUBLIC NOTICE! My fellow Nigerians and dear NRM party faithful. As your governorship candidate, it is expedient at this moment that I address you on our direction in the Presidential Election now. As the clock ticks close to the Presidential and National Assembly Elections on Saturday, 25th February, 2023, I cannot help being overwhelmed by the thoughts of the many problems that plague our beloved country. We live in a country where basic necessities such as electricity, healthcare, and jobs are a luxury for many, and extreme poverty is rampant. It is disheartening to know that Nigeria, a country with the potential to be great, has been ranked behind India in poverty levels despite having just over a fifth of India's population. What makes this situation even more frustrating is the fact that Nigeria is the sixth-largest oil-producing country in the world, yet we still find ourselves buying fuel at exorbitant prices because of a lack of functional refineries. This is unacceptable. We cannot continue to rely on foreign countries for our basic needs when we have the resources to provide for ourselves. It has become so bad that we don’t even have money to feed or buy basic needs. This is the Nigeria of our current reality. At this point in time, Nigeria needs a deliverer, a leader who will rise up and rescue our country from these problems. We need someone who will restore hope and reignite the fire of patriotism in us. Someone who will reinvent the wheel of our country and drive us to our desired destination of peace and prosperity. This is not the time for party politics. We cannot afford to save political parties at the expense of our dear nation. It is time to save Nigeria from the looters and plunderers of our national wealth and resources. We must put aside our differences and come together as one people, united in our quest for a better Nigeria. My dear brothers and sisters, we have been through a lot as a country. We have faced many challenges, but we have also overcome many obstacles. We are a resilient people, and we have the power to change our situation. We must believe in ourselves and in our country. We must have faith that we can overcome these challenges and emerge victorious. Let us work together to build a country where equity and justice are the hallmarks of our society. A country where every citizen has equal access to basic necessities, regardless of their social or economic status. A country where our leaders are accountable to the people and not the other way around. To this end, I direct all members and supporters of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in Rivers State to come out in your numbers to vote for the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi and all NRM National Assembly Candidates in the state on Saturday, 25th February, 2023. It is evident and clear that with the track record and programmes of Peter Obi, Nigeria will be on a path to greatness if elected into Office. Let us join hands and work towards a better Nigeria. Let us remember that we are not just fighting for ourselves but for future generations. Let us be the change that we want to see in our country. Let us make Nigeria great again. Vote Wisely, Vote Peter Obi for President. Thank you, and God bless Nigeria.
