There is no single fixed clock time for Isha, because it depends on where you are and on the date. Isha begins after Maghrib, once the red twilight has disappeared, and its time window runs until midnight. The safest practice is to pray it before midnight, even though some scholars extend the time until Fajr. That is why a time given in a forum post for one city will not necessarily be correct for another city, and why the exact time shifts a few minutes from day to day. The reliable approach is to check a daily timetable for your own city, or follow your local masjid timetable. As an example of how a location-specific daily schedule works, the Riyadh timetable at https://riyadhprayer.com/ lists Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha for each day. If you are in Riyadh, or travelling there, use that kind of up-to-date local schedule rather than a fixed time quoted for a different place. |
Thank you for sharing this, OP. This is a good reminder that preserving life comes first. If a child is in immediate danger, for example near a hot stove, breaking salah to move them to safety is the right thing to do, and you should not feel guilty about it afterwards. The prayer can be repeated once the danger has passed and the child is safe. What matters is acting quickly when there is real danger, rather than waiting or hoping someone else will step in. It is also a useful lesson for parents at home: keep children a safe distance from the cooking area during prayer, and if possible, have another adult nearby. That way the risk is lower, but if danger still comes suddenly, saving a life takes priority. May Allah protect our children and accept our prayers. |
