Richard Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD is 50 years today . RMD was born on 6th July,1961 in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.
He attended Midwest College, Warri ,Anglican Grammar School and was a member of the Drama Club. He enrolled into the University of Benin to continue his education and studied Theatre arts .In 1997 Mofe-Damijo returned to school to study law at the University of Lagos and graduated in 2004 .He is now a politician and has been the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State,Nigeria since january 2009.

Nigeria's fast rising singer ,Maye hunta ,(Ekaete crooner) had just survived a disastrous car accident.
      The accident ocurred along oshodi road,Lagos when he was going for global excellence couple's night .He was driving in his car  ,Dodge caravan and  rammed into another car in front of him. He left the accident scene with minor injuries.
Maye said it was a convoy of four cars and they were all going for the same event. “It was raining heavily and we were in a convoy with three other cars which included Kenny Ogungbe and Minjin. Minjin’s car hit the bus in front of him and mine too rammed into his. We’ve towed the car to my mechanic workshop”.

The Africa Film Academy (AFA) invites filmmakers to submit their Feature, Short, and Documentary works for consideration by the 8th AMAA, the Premier Africa film Awards.The 8th Edition of the AMAAs will be held in April 2012 and televised globally. The deadline for all submissions is 30th December 2011;
AMAA is calling for submissions from the public and stakeholders in the film industry. Nominations will be announced in February 2012. Submission forms can be downloaded from the AMA-Awards website.

The Process
Each completed entry form must be accompanied by all the supporting materials listed on the submission forms, including the synopsis of the film, the list of credits, marketing stills of the film, filmographies of the directors and producers, 5 DVD copies of the film and proof of the right to submit.
Only films produced and released between December 2010 and December 2011 would be entered for the 2012 celebration of African Cinema.
All films must indicate year of copyright. The Africa Film Academy will not accept any film that exceeds the 120 min run as a feature or a short film that is longer than 40 minutes.
