Considering the easy of switching jobs if need be, I would prefer the Open permit your Spouse got.

AFAIK It's the only type you can apply for when you get a job offer. Open work permits are given only in certain situations like spouse of a closed work permit holder, spouse of a student, trying to remain in canada while you wait for your PR application decision from IRCC etc.

This quite happens on different Canada visa categories. I have also seen this exact situation of yours. There's nothing to fret I believe.
Did you or your kid at anytime get an ADR?

I would like to ask during your application for the closed work visa when you wanted to apply for your dependents, how did you go about it.
Is someone going to create a different profile for each dependent and if so how do you link them to your profile?
Or in the main applicant profile form is there a place to apply for them at the same time as the attached states that each dependent must apply.
Should kids less than 10 years apply for study visa to go to school or visitor's visa.

When you fill the come to Canada survey, you will indicate your dependents are coming with you. When done, a list of documents will be generated for you and you can link the survey output with your gckey account.

Thank you for your prompt response.. Yes, I mean PPR.. This is good news and good to know that it took just 1 week. I am very happy about this. Also when you check the visa was it used issued from Ghana or Kenya on your passport.

Also, where did you have your biometric captured Lagos or Abuja

Biometric was done in Lagos. On the visa, it says issued at CPC Edmonton

I don't think NOC 3413 qualifies for 2 weeks processing as it's under type C. Only type A or 0 are qualified according to these;

Pls where did you submit your passport for PPA. Did you submitted it to VFS Cario, VFS Ghana, or VFS Abuja? Because I want to know where one can submit a passport and get it back very fast because I heard that VFS Ghana is now very slow but I am not sure if a Work permit can be submitted directly to VFS Cario

Did you mean PPR?
If yes, I submitted to vfs abuja and it took a week to get it back.

Pls, what of the primary applicant intend to go with the spouse bug didn't indicate that in the application process until LMIA issued. Reason due to spouse being pregnant and can't take medical scans or covid vaccination. Any hope or chances of spouse applying and joining up later before the expiration of the 2 year TWP. Note: the condition of work/job of principal applicant is temporary basis/schedule.

Spouse/dependents can always join later. The processing time for their application will probably take a while.

None at all.
The LMIA was what the company processed and it had nothing to do with my dependents. Although the company knew about them.

If the company lawyer is the one applying for the principal, do you know if the dependent and partner can apply on their own maybe with few days different to benefit from the 2 week processing time, if the main applicant qualifies for it.

Yes, possible but again not advisable.
If they don't apply together, they won't benefit from the same processing time as the principal applicant.
Is there a reason dependent(s) are excluded from the principal applicant's application?
What's your NOC if I may ask?

please I would like to confirm, if a partner gets a closed TWP but the partner and dependents aren't going to apply for visa at the same time with the principal due to maybe advise that principal should get TWP first and maybe resume work before the others apply do you know how long it might to get the visa for the dependents.
Note information would already be filled on principal profile during principal's application.

Right now it's about one year for Nigerians.
If the principal applicant is applying under GSS, I will strongly suggest everyone apply together, that way, decisions will be made same time and faster

I sent mine last week Tuesday to Germany. Got there Thurs, they sent it to ircc Friday. No update since. I expect to get a request for pickup this week. Didn't send to Lagos/Abj cos I'm on a time crunch

Yes, I gathered the documents and applied myself, got help from immigration lawyer on what documents to include

Application approved for the whole family.
Work permits for parent and visiting visa for infant.
Took 69days after biometrics instead of the proposed two weeks.

- Can we add all the documents in a single envelope or use an envelope for each individual.

- How do we fill the first part of page 3 of vfs consent form? Is the receiver in this case DHL? Relationship to applicant?;

I applied for the job, went through series of interviews and test. The company sent an offer afterwards and applied for the LMIA themself. They sent the approved LMIA letter with my LMIA number.

We have various threads on Canada migration here on nairaland but I could not find any that relates to migrating to Canada via a closed work permit.
Closed work permits are usually for work permits tied to a particular company, i.e you are getting the work permit only for that role in the specified company.
I am currently in the last stage of the process which is awaiting work permit application decision from IRCC.

For me, LMIA was approved February. I applied for closed work permit March 29 2022.
Do we have people going through this process? Please share your timelines
