Ikechukwu had provided credible links to show how very little the SW produce. Apart from Cocoa, which it's return was inflated by SW propaganda media, SE beat SW in all other export cash crops.

That very fact that SE is economically more viable and sustainable than SW had been proved beyond reasonable doubts by these brutal facts: https://www.nairaland.com/2732630

But in a classical drowning man syndrome, you lots won't accept you place and work to catch up to the better south, since it's obvious you lots a way backward.
In terms of contribution to non-oil revenues, Cocoa and Tobacco feature prominently than any crop the South East may produce by far. I think the problem you are having is in isolating SE contributions on the list of non-oil revenue earners. If Cocoa figures gets inflated as you claim, what commodity then would you propose as the dominant Agro-contributor, and by what standard? When we speak of non-oil Agro contributors, such commodities as Cocoa, Wood, Rubber, Tobacco, etc come to mind. These are premium earning commodities. I think that gentleman failed to prove the Eastern region's predominance in the production of any of these commodities. While indeed the South East may produce more yams and even Cassava than any other part of Africa, unfortunately, these commodities obviously do not contribute much to the non-oil earnings as they do not get exported in large enough volumes to make a dent. Going through the list of NEPC performing exporters, the South East-based exporters are the least represented, and neither will you find sizable volume of Yam or Cassava exports, which again is a fair representation of the point that the region is not a prolific non-oil Agro-exporter.

Ikechukwu, Job well done, with a well stocked Arsenal of facts and figures, you decimated their lies and propaganda and left them clutching at ad hominem attacks.

What an exhilarating performance, a real Ekumeku e- war general you are, Odogwu Agu Dike!
Be honest with yourself. He didn't decimate anything. He failed to prove that any substancial contribution emanates from the Eastern region to the non-oil sectors. Unfortunately, Yam and Cassava don't feature on any list of foreign exchange earners because unlike other Yam exporting countries like the Ivory Coast and Ghana, Nigerian Yams cultivation practices do not meet international standards that would enable substancial exports. I have perused data from IMF, OEC, and United States Embassy factsheet on Nigerian exports, and his arguments don't feature.
