chukwudi44: I am not expecting any favourable judgement from the biased CCT chairman.Injustce Umar can go ahead and deliver whatever judgement he wants but it wil end up been as useless as that of the Rivers state election petition tribunal. This case would be decided by the supreme court and not the useless CCT I admire your confidence, but something tells me you're dead wrong on the money in this particular case, as at other times. But time will tell. |

chukwudi44: I think I am beginning to enjoy this trial. It has been a comedy of blunders from the prosecution witness to the stupid CCT chairman. It will make it very easier for the supreme court t dispose off the case Bro, you sound like you have already conceded that Saraki's loss at the CCT is already a foregone conclusion and hinging your hopes on the Supreme court, no? Saraki and his team have relentlessly attacked the same Umar so wetin Una expect?? |

Standing5: Have you guys seen the size of Kwara on map? It is almost the size of the entire SE . . . And yet they are proud of N3.2b quarterly IGR. Kwara state landmass is much bigger than the entire SE region, but has just about 10% of the SE population. If her resources are well harnessed she should be generating no less than N10 - 15-billion monthly in IGR. |

You guys are spot on. The key thing is that the funds not be diverted to frivolous and unfruitful pursuit (e.g paying salaries) but rather infrastructure and economic growth/expansions. Like modath said, the likes of Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, are richer than a lot of countries' economies put together but they couldn't have attained such heights without a combo of venture capital, borrowing and debt-financing -- of course they've spent the money judiciously, hence their continued growth. |

tankara1010: A lot of Nigerians are oblivious of the systematic marginalization of SE and SS. There is a reason why Onitsha, Calabar, Port Harcourt and Warri ports are not in operation or fully functional as Lagos ports despite SE and SS/energy companies accounting for nearly 70% of all imports. There is a reason why Enugu, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Asaba Airports are not as functional as Lagos, Abuja and Kano despite SE and SS accounting for nearly 75% of all international travels. Something is not right if you have conscience and ability to reason! Guy, I bow for this your conspiracy theory o. You no even address the koko of the matter, which is that Uba has failed to repay his loans |

They are out to cut this Igbo man to size as the largest oil distributor in Nigeria...they have been plotting this! THERE YOU HAVE IT! Are you suggesting that Uba is being persecuted because the FG does not want the 'Billion worth sports complex in SE' to see the light of day?? Guy, Get real! |

Politics › Re: Nigerian States By Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) - 2015 by RockHard: 2:16pm On Apr 15, 2016 |
Ariani: No, SW if we subtract Lagos will be below SE Remember that Ebonyi is yet to present her own figures, and from 2014 report, Ebonyi generated 11.09bn in 2014o going by that, Ebonyi figures when added to the SE current 62billion mark, will exceed the 71billion of SW, and that will be good enough for SE to topple SW sans Lagos. https://www.nairaland.com/2732630/latest-ranking-states-financial-sustainability#down Yinmu. The OP added the previous year's Ebonyi 11-billion to arrive at that figure for the SE yet the SW still tops your region by almost 10-billion. Even if we're to add an extra 5-billion to the official Ebonyi numbers (which it it is highly unlikely that Ebonyi would attain), SW still tops y'all minus Lagos. |

Nice. These numbers show an improvement for some states but there's still more room for improvement. Good to see that Ogun has moved to the top 5. |

kettykin: this is getting hilarious for you to have said other states should copy lagos, you could have at least verified if other states like akwa ibom ,enugu even Abuja were building better roads than Lagos state, Lagos roads are at best not the best in Nigeria, the badagry road project has been there since fashola days and it is speculation. Lagos does not yet posses the road infrastructure found in Abuja or the quality of akwa ibom, sky scrapers popping up in the city is no big deal as anambra just completed some and have signed a deal to have others built. The eko Atlantic City is fast becoming a little bit of a mirage but time will tell. The only sector where legs is outdoing other states is in the economy sector as a result of the useless policy of the federal government which cited everything in a city at the expense of other cities and even at that if a state like anambra had a third of the federal government investments in Lagos anambra would have surpassed Lagos economy. Sorry, didn't know I was dealing with an iPOB youth. My bad. |
