Well, I have starcomms and the speed is ok. A brother of mine gave me his Zain usb device and the speed is outstanding. Be advised however that before you subscribe to any of the gsm networks you confirm you have 3g coverage in your area. Otherwise you may be disappointed with what you get. Hope this helps . . . |
Hello peeps. Lets talk about the best games uve played on ur phone, where you got it (wap or pc download) and the type of phone it was played on. Naija, STAND UP!!! |

This is a 17 year old Honda LX that has done 170k (check pix), with cloth trim and no alloys. 750k is throwing the ball WAY out of the ballpark. |

paxson:You misunderstand me. I condemn not. All I'm pointing out is simply that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. I have seen many hopes dashed all as a result of poor preparedness. I also do remember saying if you want to do this as a part time thing and be light on billing then fine. But if you want to do this as a fulltime money making venture then you will have to pull out the big guns. And please, let us all stop hidding behind "naija not being like other advanced countries." I have not told you to go out and pick up a full HD HyperHAD 2/3 inch 3CCD camera. All I'm saying is, with God's grace, get some more money and step up. You will be glad you did. I am encouraging you, in fact challenging you. And I believe this is what we all need to do better, greater things. I wish you all the best. ![]() |
Plus the BMW has the some of the HIGHEST running costs on any vehicle. I love BMWs to death but I wont buy one unless money was burning a hole in my pocket! And yes BMW does not make V6 engines. If it's a 535 then its an inline 6. Anything higher is a V8 which can be murderous on fuel. Just spreading some education, nothing to do with your sale . . . |
No amount of tweaking on a 1/6th inch ccd will compare to the output on a half inch or 2/3 inch ccd. I am not trying to discourage him. I'm just saying it as it is. |
I believe I am helping him by letting him know his options. If he wants to be serious he should be ready to spend SERIOUS MONEY. A Toyota corolla and a Toyota Land Cruiser will each get you from A to B but in different style. This is the point I'm trying to make. It saddens me every time I go out for a shoot and see so called pro people totting those tiny things. |
paxson & sojioguns By ANY standards, 50k is a ridiculous amount of money to do coverage with. Ive been in this bz for over 15yrs and even in the time of panasonic m9000 vhs, 50k did not work. Quite frankly those tiny things will make you look and feel rather inadequate. Plus the CCD or CMOS chips they use are VERY small and would give far to low picture quality for pro work. I have a sony DCR-SR42 so I should know. I have also worked with everything from U-Matic, betacam, VHS, S-VHS, all the way down to everything on the market now. AND you DO need to consider edit options. HD footage will drain batteries quicker and result in files that a serious number crunching PC would be needed to work on. And as L_Funk said not all cameras are supported natively. Unless you just want to use this as a pastime or just want to feel around, 50k wont get u far. Nuff said bro . . . |
Hmm, sentiment aside, 2.5 for a 5yr old car that's done 100k is pretty steep. Granted, the car is loaded and from the pix it looks like a cracking piece of kit. Plus osisi is kinda right. |
VERY serious buyer here. You said the car has been sold; the blue or the silver? And could you please give the complete VIN? ![]() |
Generators that are not soundproof are called open type. No casing, bare bones, just engine and alternator. You can get a Cummins. Do you want a brand new one or a used one? |
Yeah, Ilasa or Ladipo. You should be able to get some good deals there. Note though that they will have to do somesort of conversion on it for you |
Hello there To the best of my knowledge, the smallest diesel generator you can get is 7kva. It comes in a "sound proof" cabin but will set you back around 160k. Brands are Kama and Kipor. The open type diesel gens will make too much noise whick will have ur landlord all over you like white on rice. Or you could go with those contraptions that use 2 water drums for cooling!!! ![]() |
111687 miles on a 6 year old car is pretty steep. The car looks beautiful, but what sort of condition is the drive train in? Do you have service records for this vehicle. And that said, I honestly think you need to re review your asking price. By the way, is it still available? |
Erm, is it just me or is Diego just so incredibly stupid ??!!!!??!?!! |
I'm shocked at you!!! quote :-
"why can't we Nigerians be optimistic instead of being pessimistic, it has not yet been confirmed shes dead what we are expected to do is to just pray, our mind works in a way in which sometimes what u think or imagine will come to pass, it happens sometimes your mind or what u imagine happens, so please don't let us be negative minded lets wait til its confirmed, but its well in Jesus name. (amen)"
It has been solidly confirmed that Bimbo Odukoya is dead. On NTA news and from numerous members of the church congregation (of whom I am aquainted with). Let us not continue to give ourselves false hope and face what comes at us. May God give us all strength. Amen. |
our transport service is in SEVERE trouble. the train service is almost non-existent, ferry services suicidal, road transport dangerous and now our airline industry in complete chaos!!!VIO officials go about harassing Nigerian motorists. Do we not have an equivalent airline body that takes care of this? Most of those planes are over 20 years old and their owners continue to push them for more income. It was said sometime ago that the luxurious bus industry always restock their fleet after a bad accident (the idea was they were using the blood of the victims for rituals). Can the same be said of the aviation industry? 75 children between the ages of 10 and 18 were on their way home for the holidays. 75 children between the ages of 10 and 18!!! A truly sad occurrence. And slowly becoming one too many . . . |
I tend to agree. Macs are expensive hardware wise. You might just end up ordering parts. I'ts like using a Buick or Corvette in a country where Toyota's nad Honda's reign! If we remove the pirated software angle from the windows platform, they are both at par. OEM software is costly. Photoshop CS2 is about $600 (compared to N150 in Otigba!!!!!!) 3DS Max is anything from $2500. But since we are talking in the Nigerian context, I guess we cant rule out the pirated software angle. Trying to get the Mac o proliferate in Nigeria will be a daunting task. There is a learning curve and a general phobia for people not to leave what they are accustomed to. The Mac OS is more intuitive than the XP though and graphically XP cant hold a flame to OS X. |
![]() There really is no argument on this issue. Really. The Sony Ericsson SPANKS the Nokia silly! I mean, check out the K700i, the K750i and the baba agba, the W800i. Nokia has been beaten so hard they have no reply for any of these. Someone said the nokia uses the same old user interface. Too true!!! The SE on the other hand is like rapid air conditioning on a VERY hot day! Pure art form! Which Nokia has an expandable memory of upto 4gb Mp3, AAC player?? AND with a built in RDS (Radio Data Signal) FM tuner? Not to even mention the best 2mp still cam to ever appear on a mobile? I beg jo, all you Nokia fans had better crawl out of your caves and see the sun shine!!! ![]() |
Congratulations to Seun for bringing up a rather tricky topic. Much has been said about how to tackle this problem, some have gone as far as seemingly supporting the scourge!. Yes the former IG has been indicted in fraud cases, yes our governors are shoveling huge sums of money to themselves yes there are high levels of corruption in high places in Nigeria but in spite of all this a lot can still be done. Firstly our orientation has to change, starting with the youngsters. I live (or lived) in Ogba. The levels of yahoo yahoo there are of phenominaly epic proportions!!! Kids as young as 13 are into the biz. A lot have dropped out of school becos one bros or the other is pushing a hot set of wheels or wearing the latest threads and they too want to be like bros. I think the argument of them wanting to help the family or reduce the burden is a sackload of shite! Hardwork is the only true key. Karma is also another angle. So many of these yahooists (as we call them) have died in the course of thier schemes a lot of them died in the cars they used said money to buy. One mother even escorted her son to the bank to collect a westee becos one bros had duped her son previously!! Another angle is in the banks themselves. A lot of these yahooists have inside men who collect the mony on thier behalf as soon as the money arrives. They (the inside man) are given details of the transaction and are told to monitor it. Once the money is collected, the are sure of a cut of the takings per transaction. I know of a guy in a bank (First Bank in Ogba) who refused promotion from the westee desk just becos of this type of arrangement. Busting into cyber cafes will not work either. I for one have internet access at home as do a few of these yahooists that I know of. Like someone said earlier in this post, doing so will only push them underground further worsening things. The police that are supposed to help are also not helping matters. I know reliably that Area "G" police station in Ogba collects monthly settlement fees from yahooists there. One boy was taken away from Ogba Estate and his car (a BMW 320i dolphin) impounded only for the two to be released after his friends rallied round and paid the said settlement. I could go on and on. Suffice to say that the solution lies within us, the youth. I promise to continue to update this thread . . . |
For all the Cuando Seas Mia Soap Opera fans. There are 238 episodes in the series. Personally, I fail to see what all the hub-bub is about this soap. This is what I like to refer to as a "soapy soap"!!! |
