Salah did not just fail to perform for no reason. He failed because of the coach (Slot) style and formation.

My analysis:

Slot is using Zobo and McAlister at the middle, but both players are too far from Salah and Arnold is not getting closer either because of his defensive lapses. Indirectly, our 3 midfielders are more focused on the defence. They always give Salah long balls and the defenders are always closing on him. Before he waits for his fellow players to come close, the opposition defenders will attack him and get the ball off him.

Well deserved victory. Konate was something else in this match. Salah is always a magician when he gets the ball. Mac Allister is always a supplier. Szobo is a destroyer. Ryan G, was always fighting for the ball. Diaz always say forward ever with full confidence. Van D is always a general at the back. Allison is ever ready. Robertson will never give in even when he is not fully fit. Arnold is always on the field to cause damage to the opponent with his passes. Jones contributed his quota. Kostas, Endo, Quansah, Gakpo and Elliot all came in with the determination of showing Man city the stuff we are made of. Never walk alone!

I have confidence on Liverpool to win the EPL than Arsenal to win. Arsenal already loss by not signing at least two players in January, especially a decent striker & injury to star buy. Any club that wants to win the league should not be playing Sterling often, he should be the 3rd or 4th option. You might be right on this. Slot substituted Diaz a natural winger and shifted szobo to the left wing, this further reduced out threat upfront after the removal of Jota. This gave them more chance to attack us.

You don't use that as a yardstick. Madrid coach has proven himself overtime. He has lost the top spot and reclaimed it this season. He currently tops the league and has won trophies for the club over time.
