Candyrain: Who is this and what are you blabbing? Can't you differentiate those that are migrants and those that are indigenous to those communities in SS? Are you classifying Igbos in Obigbo, Egbema, Ndoki etc... of Rivers to Igbos who moved to Lagos for their businesses? Bros you got a head pls try use it.
This just like saying the Offa, Oyun, Erile LGAs are not Yoruba communities in Kwara State all because they've been grouped among North Central States. There are Yorubas in Kogi State. Now answer this, are they not Yorubas? Maybe he's indirectly saying that Buhari doesn't know what he's talking about. I've advised him who to channel his anger to. Definitely not me |

vicadex07: There are or were at least two Igbo commissioners in Lagos.
There is more than one house of rep Igbo member in Lagos too.
I guess that also makes Lagos Biafra Land according to your Logic?
Its not surprising anyway, since you already labeled it no mans Land. But you all know you can only try bullshit with the South-South people and go free.
You will all drown in the Lagoon if you ever try shit like you did in the last elections without Yorubas lifting a finger. I hope you lot learnt from the Biafran war how deadly the Yoruba could be when provoked. vicadex07: Are there not tens of millions of Igbos in the SouthWest?
Are there not millions of Igbo even in the North?
So is it safe to say those places are both part of your Biafra too. According to your logic, I guess so.
Am not surprised anyway, due to your teaming numbers in the South west, Lagos to be specific, you're already claiming it to be no mans land.
That there is the evidence of the greed and the filth that is Igbos. They naturally have limited land resources but due to their gradually explosive population, they always develop the habit of populating strangers land and then when they have the numbers, decide to overtake the economic and political structure of the ancestral lands of their hosts.
They have already overtaken the Niger Delta economically and Politically, hence why they don't need to argue about the fact but usually flaunt it in front of the indegenes of those places how powerful they are.
They have partly taken over Lagos economically and were aiming to also do so politically by supporting PDP enmasse during the last elections not until Yorubas realised their endgames albeit almost a bit late and then reversed the equation. I don't need to inform you all about the Oba Akionlu saga.
Igbos are simply greedy. They can't help it sod its ingrained in their DNA. My dear channel your anger to Buhari who confirmed they're Igbos not me Happy new year |

LadyExcellency: I was very much disappointed when I read one shallow article from tonyebarcanista today trying to justify abuse of court process and judiciary in general by the government of Mohammadu Buhari.
The justification and reasons given in the said article typify intellectual fraud where a combination of hate and inability to interpret a two sentence judgment overwhelmed him thereby obfuscating the entire pronouncement delivered by the honourable judge. I believe he has returned again to APC. You'll notice that most of his comments these days usually start with "though I'm pro PDP, but........ " Go figure. "Anyone supporting PMB's direct insult and disregard for the third arm of government is foolish and an enemy of the state. If the constitution of the land is supreme then everyone within its boundaries must obey it, including the President of the nation. If the president cannot uphold the laws of the land, then the same Presidency has no right to demand that the masses obey the laws of the land. Whether or not the article is coming from Washington isn't important. But it's important is that since the zombies are more ran willing to defend the high handedness of their master, then it behoves on every other person to call their bluff. The laws claim all accused are innocent till proven otherwise before a competent court of law. Is PMB insinuating our courts aren't competent? And then the court set a man free but the zombies boss won't allow the man to walk free. Isn't that an invitation to chaos and anarchy? Is democracy too advanced for the black man? Why do we have a constitution?" |

"Nigerians are evil and that's why nature almost always gives them very wicked and primitive leaders in crucial offices. Truly, every people deserves their kind of leaders. This is an epic example of a zoo- a situation characterised by confusion and disorder.
There's no way a smart person won't try to understand how blacks think. I doubt their sanity to a very large extent.
From the onset, assuming we have anything close to a same society, PMB, having scuttled a duly elected democratic government in the past, won't have even smelled a nomination BUT this is Nigeria where mind boggling absurdities occur at an alarming rate.

Either way I think he should just take Fayose's advice and close down the courts. Period. Let him be the jury, the judge etc. I used to think an accused is innocent until proven guilty at the court of law. With the president doubling as the judge, jury and executioner, an accused is guilty until proven guilty at all costs |

Ugomba: 'Who is Minister of State for Petroleum, is he not Igbo? Who's Gov of Central Bank? Is he not Igbo? Who's Minister of Labour, Science and technology? ''What do the Igbos want?" Now This question from Buhari has hit hard on those who think that they can use we Aniomas as a "willing tool" to drive their Anti- Igbo agenda. - One of them is on Nairaland, his wish is to wipe out Igbo identity in South South because they thought that these SS geopolitical region was created as a "thank you"gift for their betraying prowess in the Old Rivers State. - How can a man who come from a tribe that is know historically as "Boat Settlers" and swamp dwellers have the guts to write about who is Igbo or not in the SS and about the Igbo land.. I read his past posts and saw where he was dragging Ndoki history, now he want to cross into Anioma land and cause division in our Anioma family. They should keep their rubbish in Rivers state and do not dare bring it to our Anioma Land or Delta state. Our Igboid connection is why Aniomas have been holding lucrative positions in the Federal Government. We are NOT a minority group. We are an Igboid Group and Proudly Delta Igbos who will continue to unite ourselves. My dear it's funny how they tell you when to be Igbo and when not to be. I didn't think your aversion to long story or your obsession to numbers and charts is usual. I'm of the opinion you take more advantage of your obsession to charts and numbers. Numbers is everything in business, profession and career. Numbers is the language of the top management. Believe me I know the bolded that's why it worries me atimes how much I've disliked reading overtime Especially those history,theology/religious and medical type of books My family expected me to be a doctor, but I knew myself better. And I'm happy I'm in a field that appreciates my strength Just like u advised, I'll take more advantage of my strengths than my weaknesses. I still manage to read though. But once in a month like you? No no no my respect oga You're right about numbers in business. And if you hear that I'm reading once a month, be rest assured that the book is business or economics related smh. Subconsciously, I glance through the book first for charts n graphs and look at them first, then I'll start reading just to understand the chart better lol. So u'll find that my drive to read that book is just to understand the chart, table, graph etc So u can see why it's a bit difficult to get me to read if those things are missing. However I'm going to start trying to read story books small small. I'll be following all of you in the reading section of nl without u all knowing it perhaps I may pick interest in some books n start from there. Thanks for being an inspiration |

Career › Re: 2015 In Review: My Lessons For The Year. Share Yours. by Rose2014: 12:16pm On Dec 24, 2015*. Modified: 12:33pm On Dec 24, 2015 |
dearpreye: I know some of us will protest that the year isn't actually over. Yes. That's correct. We still have close to 3 weeks to the end of 2015. But the truth is, a lot of us are already mentally in 2016; we simply can't wait to put our 2015 lessons into action into 2016. Time waits for nobody.
In the course of the year, I've made a lot of mistakes and have equally learned many invaluable lessons. I'm very happy to share with us some of those incredible lessons. Let me bare the bitter lessons alone. LOL!
Finance. I'll start here because money is one of the most important things we can have. If you're still worried about money like I do, then you're still not financially independent. This year it became very obvious to money that your true state of wealth isn't dependent on HOW MUCH you earn, but how much keep and invest to create passive income for you. It doesn't matter how much you earn, as long as you keep living above your income, you'll be broke. This lesson appears very normal but it's unfortunate MOST people still fall a prey to this financial error. Another lesson is that, as long as you have only ONE source of income, you'll never be truly wealthy. This year was the year of greater financial responsibility for ME. I became more aware aware of the rules of money. If you don't seek other sources of income alongside your current one, when the tides are out, you'll finally see that you were simply swimming unclad beneath the water. If you don't take charge of your finance, you'll remain broke. The festive period is here. Most of us will be broke by second week of January, 2016, irrespective of how much we have now or at the end of this month. I took a greater responsibility for my money and I'm better off. Any area of your life will suffer if YOU'RE NOT in charge.
Friends. I'm finally aware that I don't need too many friends. Most of those who mistake for our friends aren't really friends. It will take some an incident to find out their true colours. We must be careful to separate between our friends and our colleagues. Sometimes all that connect you with some persons is that you carry the same company's ID card. Pick your friends carefully.
Success. You will never amount to anything if you keep blaming the economy, the government or others for your present situation. This year I became more responsible for my life. It matters very little what others do or say, I'm finally the one responsible for my success or failure. I understood this year that for anyone to succeed, they must be willing to change. I know change is painful but it's the ONLY way we can get to where we want to get to. To succeed, you must of necessity surround yourself with people who have a dogged desire an determination to succeed. You must after nice with people of unparalleled and white hot desire for success. If you mingle with the mediocre, you'll be a mediocre. If you mingle with the visionary, you'll become visionary. God has created mankind. Whatever mankind chooses to do depends on him.
Risk. I was finally able to take some risks this year. It was not easy placing my feet on some unfamiliar territory. It's either you take risks OR you're at risk. I finally was able to try another source of income beside my steady income from my job. It wasn't easy. Kudos to all business men and women. Kudos to all the risk takers in house. This year it became clearer that if you want to become great, you must take risks. If you keep seeking security, opportunities will pass you by. All billionaires are risk takers. I'll take more in 2016. Learn to take bigger risks.
Entrepreneurship. I realised a lot of us can become entrepreneurs if we're willing to learn the skills and align whatever we want to do with our core passion. If you hate the Rat Race like I do, you'll surely find a way out- including becoming an entrepreneur. It's takes only passion, skills and an open mind to become one.
God doesn't build nations. He didn't build Dubai. He didn't build the US we all crave to visit. He didn't build the UK. He didn't build Japan. And He won't build our nation OR any other nations. He doesn't do for man what man can do for himself. Man is imbued with ALL it takes to build himself. As far as we keep expecting God to build our lives or systems or nations, we will wait forever. Man was designed or create and find solutions to his own challenges.
Change. You cannot change any situation that you tolerate. As far as you keep excusing your errors and defects, there won't be any progress in your life. For you to experience any development, you'll first change your habits and attitude. I was able to drop some inimical habits and I'm happier today. You are in charge of your life. You have all it takes to progress and improve all areas of your life. If you're unwilling to change, then you'll be stuck in the same position for life. Things don't change on their own accord; you must drive them.
I'll love to share some more BUT these should do. Please, kindly share some of yours with us. Learning never ends as far as we are alive.
Lalasticalala, Mynd44, lasis69, let's do the needful. Since after I was banned for no reason, I've not had the appetite to login here. I only just visit here once in a while now as a guest, read some headlines or a few comments and leave. Anyway, until I saw this piece by you It's funny that we think alike in almost every aspect of life yet I don't know u and vice versa. I've never bn a believer on one source of income. Apart from my primary white collar job which earns a decent amount, I added another source of income 3 years ago(turned out to be one smart move) I've also once started a business that didn't see the light of the day too . Not to mention, it gulped some funds that could've bn put to better use. But you HAVE to take those calculated risks in business. All join Right now, I'm working on a third source of income. Which could either turn out to be a huge move or gulp money n fail (Oghene forbid) Funny enough, If you don't take those risks of creating another source of income, you're taking a greater risk of putting all your eggs in one basket. What if you're laid off or fired? Apart from taking risks, another important attribute is humility. The more humble you are as an entrepreneur, the more successful you'll be. You have to be very very humble towards your customers/clients. Listen to their complaints, apologise n make changes as needed. Make your customers/clients feel like they're your bosses. You need them cos loyalty is very important while u try to win new customers/clients over . Also the ones that are satisfied with your product or service, they will refer your company to others. Hence humility won't kill you rather u're securing your future financially. The end will justify the means I would've said more but I'm a bit occupied now Nice piece by you as usual. #respect# |
