AhmedMustapha: These reporters forget that currently, the North has the VP, Senate President, Speaker of Reps and Chief Justice of the Federation so what's different if the same scenario is playing out. The SW have the Vice-President and I'm sure Prof.Osibanjo will keep GMB on his toes. There are six geopolitical zones in the country and NW and SW are already settled. The remaining zones NE,NC,SE,SS are jostling for the remaining slots. So how will it amount to injustice if the NE and NC share the Nos 3&4 positions when clearly those zones have no top slot in the next dispensation. And if that's the case, Why must it be NE n NC? What happens to SS n SE? |

PassingShot: If you have any part of my post you have an issue with, just state it.
We have six geo political zones, three in the north and three in the south.
The only zones not getting a key position are SS/SE and that's because of the outcome of the election. Besides, it's not even a done deal that a SS rep cannot eventually become speaker of the HOR.
Key ministerial positions are the other realistic ways to carry SE/SS along in this dispensation. After all, politics is a game of number. So the only south that should get any position is the SW and that's even a VP position that carries no weight? Smh But the rest of the positions are free to go back to the north. Whether u chose to call it NE NN NC NW etc While SE/SS should be left out. The way Yorubas reason eh. I'm speechless |
Politics › Re: North May End Up With Four Top Posts In Govt by Rose2014: 11:18am On May 05, 2015 |
PassingShot: Can you please name the topmost positions in Nigeria political arena?
I think they're the President, VP, Senate president, Speaker of HOR. The Chief Justice is by appointment and a career position which means it can alternate as situations demand from time to time.
As it stands now, NW has the presidency while the SW has the VP position. The Senate President is between the NE/NC while the Speaker HOR is most likely for SW or NE depending on where APC zones the senate presidency to.
The SE and SS will unfortunately have to settle for deputy positions and other not-so-important roles in the two chambers but they should be adequately represented in the administration through ministerial appointments. And this is because of the outcome of last elections which we already know. So NE is no more North abi? But u don't care if SS and SE are in the equation For Yorubas eh, once they're playing second fiddle to their Fulani masters, the rest of the positions can stay in the north Just read your post again. D only south u know is SW with a very inactive VP position. D rest of the positions can go back to your masters even though they already have the most important position which is the presidency I hope u guys see beyond your noses someday |

See you now saying the south have spare tyre vice president and that you don't know what all the fuss is about!
Imagine a situation where the entire north east and north west were left out of the equation.....you really think the entire country wouldn't go up in flames? Has there ever been a time since independence when the Fulani haven't occupied the first, second or third highest office in the country? You lot think this country was created for your benefit abi (and it ain't far off from the truth if i'm to be honest )!? Avarice is your middle name! Don't mind him. This same guy that can kill an Igbo person any day just to defend the Northern/Buhari's agenda. And to think he just claimed to be non tribalistic almost made me throw up |

omenka: Everyone who follows my posts here knows I'm anything but "tribalistic", but these innuendoes coming from a particular section of this country is becoming too damn annoying.
How come these writers, Chuks Okocha and Onyebuchi Ezigbo, talked about the four topmost positions of authority going to the North leaving nothing to the South?? Has the position of the VP been eliminated from our constitution?? Is Osinbajo a Northerner When would these guys stop this polarising brand of doing stuffs??
Very irritating to say the least. Imagine Omenka claiming he's not tribalistic Every single last comment I've read from you on nl says otherwise. Even highlighting the names on your post already shows the deep hate in you Chai Uncle You can lie o and your lie smells like poo |

tonychristopher: Some months ago, he reportedly stole a man's phone and called the man afterwards demanding for £150 in exchange for his phone. He was convicted in 2005 for stealing from his employee. Police believe Oloruntoba had sold over 300 phones on online market, Gumtree.
He now works in customer services for Transport for Greater Manchester and Judge David Hernandez, sentencing, sought assurances that he would not be in contact with customer’s property.
Giving him six-months jail, suspended for a year, with 40 hours unpaid work, and an order to pay £500 compensation to his latest victim, Judge Hernandez told him: “I hadn’t thought I’d be seeing you again. But here you are, standing in the dock in relation to another offence of theft of a mobile phone".

It wouldn't be a bad idea if the Federal Government starts deporting the igbos to South Africa so that they can be lynched or better still hanged from their testicles by those angry xenophobic South Africans. These people are a nuisance. As you have wished this to the Igbos, I pray for you: May every member of your family die by lynching, one after the other. And may each of them be lynched in your presence in Jesus name. Amen |

If we all begin to take the derogative statements made by any king seriously, the XENOPHOBIA happening in Southafrica now would have finished us all in Nigeria. Why take the case to ICC when he has apologized. This ONOH is only acting because he is an IBO. Has is ever happened that a YORUBA man contested before in the eastern part of Nigeria, yet an ibo man contested in Lagos in the just concluded elections and won. Please if i may ask,is LAGOS not a yoruba land accepting every tribe. if your answer is YES, why don't we try to embrace each other such that we can vote and be voted for in any state where you have spent 15 years residing without any criminal record.
