Competitive in what sense? Nina was also competitive but was regarded as dumb. Heck, Jackye who was more intelligent than Mercy was more competitive. Why was she not considered as a top contender? Even Esther? Even Cindy?

Without her love story with Ike, what else does she brings to the table? She's as dumb as a rabbit. She's not even talented either.

The funny thing about this analogy is, not everybody is stanning Mercy because of her romance with Ike. I liked Ike from the stage but got to like Mercy in the house.

When they started the Merike thingy it actually irked me but I don't care either way. Mercy portrays a character opposite of many people's initial assumption.
