Good Morning VO,

I once applied for study visa 3 years ago in Nigeria but I was denied . 3 years after, I changed Nationality to my Mom's country and also had to do change of name ( all my name). the present company I work for wants to send me for two weeks training in the U.S.. I will like to enquire how I can go about my case .. I have a stamped and signed court affivadit and a newspaper advert for my change of name..i will like to know what i need to do during my visa application as i believe that the embassy will definitely have access to my previous record.

If you are buying at secondary market, make sure they tell you the rate and possibly compare before filling the form.

They gave me 17.2 and stanbic is saying 17.5.. So, i went ahead to buy it at Access....thank you so much for your reaponse, you've been so helpful. One last question, I did 2.5.. im thinking of buying more by next month : using stanbic. Is it ever too much? Or can i keep buying since it's risk free?

I have some money in my account with them but i can always move it to a better bank . do you have any idea of the current rate and a reliable bank (s)?

Spo's are either trained in Jos or Kano. If there's no space in both places, they can make an exemption but your training wouldn't be as stressful as rank and files

The rule states that 6 months after a promotion, you will be due for another : but there is a process involved which includes writing promotion exam and a formal interview... this process makes the promotion length extend to about 2 to 3 years.. the promotion could be longer than 3 years if you have query to answer and could be less due to recommendation from a superior officer. Run from the word Querry, it can delay your promotion for 10 years.


Your promotion will be very fast if you are a specialist. G.D ( general duty) officer always have to go through the normal process.

Yes, it is monthly , till the training is over and you are also entitle to some allowances after the training as well

Do not pay anyone for job recruitment into the police because the ideal people to help you would not collect one naira. If you have to use an insider, approach a senior police officer from your region or around your locality

Pls, while on Cadet ASP training what was the allowance like nd was there any bulk pay at the end of ur training

The allowance attached is usually between 80k to 100k and there is no bulk payment after the training. There are a million ways of getting extra funds while in the police force without being a corrupt officer or a nuidance to the public. The money will come to you freely. Just be loyal to your boss and your seniorals ( the active ones)

There is nothing called ASP training. You have to go for Basic Police Training, which could range from a minimum of 6 months to 18 months : depending on individual performances ; some people get to spend more time.

Just take the answer i gave you. I was recently promoted from ASP to DSP. You can earn up to 200k or more if you are a specialist.

I have a cousin of mine, who someone ask to pay 100,000 to get a job in the current recruitment into the Nigeria police force and those police training take 9 months too.
My cousine is a bsc holder.
I became suspicious when he said the salary of ASP is 300k monthly,
How true is that?

There are different salary structures for ASP. Level 8 step 2 earns between 125 to 145. Some ASP's earn up to 165k.
