I won't blame the retailers because they go the same market as anyone of us.
There's general inflation and they need to adjust their profit margin to also meet up their expenses. They have children in school whose school fees have been increased, they pay for electricity whose tariff has been increased, they pay for transportation whose fare has been increased, they buy clothes,bags,nylon, shoes, buckets etc whose prices have also been increased. Where do you think the extra money to meet up with all these increment will come from ?

Wanting to make a hundred percent and above profit on staple foods is nothing but pure greed IMHO.

A trip to a bush market nearest to you will open your eyes a great deal.
