Casting of the ground floor is in progress

Rebars to ground floor is in progress

It's as been 4 days ago we done with compaction of the foundation filling


Laying of damp prove membrane (DPM) as done perfect with Blinding to receive reinforcement

Backfilling to foundation is done completely it's amazing that I couldn't buy a single trip of filling sand

The entire foundation was fill up with excavated materials acquired from the pile cap

And it's well compacted

Removing of the ground beam formwork taking place ahead of back filling of the foundation

We are been working very hard to get the foundation right for the past month and thank we are moving closer to the positive results just exactly as we planned it to be

Casting of the ground beam is done successfully with grade 30kn/m³ according to the structural engineer description

After this stage we are moving to back filling in the foundation to make up level .

surveyor has an important role to play on site such as setting out the building point,pile carp point, columns location, setback

I have surveyor on site to get all those things done

There's some tasks need to start on before finishing of pile cap,such as blinding in some part that's ready

Blinding to receive ground beam as commence in some area of block A,and

Shuttering to ground beam is also in place

The whole pile cap has been cast with good vibrator

It's been some weeks working hard in site to bring out a solid and efficient foundation to resist the load of super-structure

After setting blocks on the pile cap we brake the piles to the required level

Then we backfill remaining space by the side of the block wall to avoid deformation during the casting of pile cap

After the backfilling rebars to pile cap, fixing the reinforcement to the pile cap

And locating the column point and fixed the column starter before the casting of the pile cap

The best way to solidify your building is to get your foundation right by go through the virtue process

Check the strength of the pile with wave method the 2 weakest would be used for loading test to minimize the risk for worse case scenario

Using 6" block as formwork is economical and safe from deformation

This is my first time here in nairaland, I was training by construction genius (Aventures's) popularly knows in the this platform


I'm here to take us through the process of high rise residential apartment owned by popularly know developer in Lagos state God made home(GHM) we have 3 blocks which are A,B,and C.

This project contain 10 floors, Ground with mezzanine floor are car park, the remaining floor contain 3 bedroom with BQ and 2 bedroom with BQ, suspended swimming pool,gym house,launch, facility management.

This project is sitting on the solid pile foundation of 600 diameter well design and approved by government
