Hello! My trip is scheduled for Feb 2025. Have you tried chatting with an agent? Inform them of the several tickets raised and let them know you would appreciate an escalation. Post that, wait to see if resolved before sending another V44 email. So I think it is more of them trying to physically screen as many applicants as possible. Most of the interviews are quite short and straightforward- except where overstay, birthing without bill payment and other types of infractions have occurred. maryini: |
Yes, it is still valid. MRV fees are valid for 1 year. Please don't miss the interview and try to check your AVITS profile and email at least 3x a week to be sure you don't miss any emails on preponement or postponement. uchee: |
Not true. Stayed 10 days on my last trip and while I was not refused IW (I could not use my GTB receipt due to some glitch), I was instead sent an email, inviting me for a physical interview. In fact, my AVITS has no indication that I was book for/ attended an interview. Thankfully, it was successful (4 people interviewed before me - a family of 3 who were "white slipped", and 3 others who were denied. All for B2). Short interview too and based on what I do for work, where I plan to stay in the US, longest time I've been in the US (1month) and reiteration that I can't use the visa for birthing purposes per their 2020 laws since the visa is for 5 years (at this point, I was a bit sure I was going to be white slipped). She then handed me the white slip and told me my passport will be ready for pick up in about a week, which was true to stated timeline. PeachtreeReside: |

Thank you for the update, HarleyBee. I was also able to resolve issue in the 3rd week of November and just like you, I am not sure if it was the emails or tickets raised that worked. FYI for those planning to make another visa payment because they are still unable to use their GTB receipt, please be patient & wait for resolution - you will definitely be attended to. Just keeping emailing and raising tickets, while giving about one week interval before following up again. P.S. For those that qualify for IW, please note that in a bid to attend to you quickly & help resolve ASAP, they may convert you to physical interview but it comes with an earlier date. Thank you for responding- quite helpful. Please, did you create a new profile on AVITS before receiving the link? Or you simply waited to receive the link? Because I paid via GTB before migration but did not book an appointment because I was waiting for migration. Created a new profile on AVITS on September 2nd because I thought that links were only being sent to people with appointments. . So I went ahead to create another profile with a different email in September, still unable to schedule an appointment with it. Response: "invalid receipt"
