News reaching us from PM in OWERRI, have it that preparations are in top gear in Imo state to unveil the third statue by December 9th 2017. Wonders shall never end as Imo state has received a lot of bashing from twitter and facebook following the trends that took place in the last one month.
This coming at a time there has been so much out cry by the good people of Imo State about why the Governor will have to spend almost 900million to build magnificent statues to honor two different African presidents.


It will be recalled that the nearly a month ago, the governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha drew the angst of the civil society by honoring his fellow distorted character in the people of President Jacob Zuma of South Africa with a statue in Owerri, the state capital. President Zuma's celebration/ceremony took place at a time an Imo State citizen, Iheanacho Obina from Okigwe was extrajudicially murdered by South African Police Authority. While the dust is yet to settle from the N520 million Zuma's statue, Okorocha invited the President of Liberia, Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for the unveiling of her own statue!
