@ newvision, I do not know the extent folks are implementing it in Nigeria, but the idea already exists in naija. In fact, it was my architect in naija who suggested including it in my building. The house has not yet been completed - https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-397598.0.html . It is locally done. It is nothing but a stronger concrete reinforcement than any other room in the building. Security door to the room must be included. It is best to hide the door itself somehow. When you occupy the house, you store emergency stuff such as extra phone with back up batteries, important contacts phone numbers, flashlights, etc. I saw what appeared to be a panic room when CNN aired a tour of Michael Jackson's mansion last year. It should not be for "Big men" only. Whoever can afford a building, can think about that too. |
@bamidele, Please check your mailbox. |
@Poster, Good advise. That's why I included it in the house I'm building in naija. The location of such room should not appear in the arch. drawing, you know why. |
@bamidele, Give me your email address. |
@bamidele, I will fully respond when I get your full quotes. |
I'm expecting your response. |
i'm very sorry sir, my though was that new project that would start from foundation to the finishing.withb information i can present actual cost. wait for the replies bc it need calculations@bamidele, Ok, I'm expecting your quotes. |
@bamidele,@bamidele, Please stop qualifying your comments with "if you are realy seriousabout". It took me time and effort to get and present the details of the building here. I presented these requirements, including measurements (which you do not see often in NL), so that suppliers and contractors will know exactly what I want. I will meet with the potential supplier/contractor when I think there is a possibility of him/her meeting my requirements. Here are more information: One can supply only the material OR material and labor - your choice. The building is already near the roofing stage. I want to know the cost for the roofing (material/lablor). It needs plastering - at least starting from the ground floor. It needs windows and doors - see details in the original posting. It needs floor work - see details in the original posting. The fencing has already been completed; I need to know the cost of installing a quality iron gate (material and labor) Thanks |
@bamidele, I have the same question aseju asked you. Have you read the requirment in the initial posting? I hope you noticed the breakdown of what are needed. The building is not a stadium. |
Contractors needed. |
Your input please. |
