Hello house, how are you all doing today?
Well, it's been a while since I post updates here on my bucket farm. So allow me to hit you with more greenery from the buckets.

So today 26th March, (i.e) 26 days since I've planted the watermelons, I have to admit things are not going really well, something I still can't explain is why the crops aren't uniformly growing? Despite the fact that I sourced the soil from the same spot, plant at the same time, but still turnout like food web! Nevertheless, they looks amazing 😍

Intoxication dai! Wlh You no met better sun for farm up North be that, must of the water go comot through sweat. You can't survive on 3ltrs a day, even if na sleep you dey sleep all day.

3litres is recommended. That even include water from food and fruits we take.

You'll get water intoxication.
Taking more that 3ltrs per day will affect you kidney adversely.

Abi? Well it has already turn to a habit; intense workout in the farms need constant dehydration. Even when not working, can't stay an hour without some gulps of water.

Day 22nd!
Today been the 3rd Sunday since I've planted my watermelon, the crops are exceptionally good, the tremendous amount of energy that they've channel into growing is just wow!

Please rate the crops performance.

I've already started planning on how I'm going to enjoy my watermelon 😁 Due to the level of their performance in the farm (buckets)

Day 17th
Kai! Wlh the speed on which the crops recovered overnight has shocked me. Only that as the results of them been battered by the rain, the ones that have grown longer stems curl up, but never loss momentum.

I went for couple of days break only to meet disaster in the farm (buckets) it rains heavily on that that day, the buckets are half full half empty by the rain.
Thanks to God they've recovered

Day 9th As a farmer which I'm one, the joy derive from seeing what you have planted roaring to life is second to non.
The true leaves are stretching themselves up with hunger of reaching the skies😁

Day 8th Everything looks promising, true leaf has start coming up ☺️😃

Day 7th I travelled, I come back late in the night, the pics are screenshot from the short video I recorded in the night.

The 6th day after some of the seeds germinated, these come out strong in terms of vigor than the others.

By the way this is the setup, 5 buckets, with two seedlings inside each. My plan is to prune each plant to grow just one vine each.

I've planted the seeds on Sunday 1st march 2026 after service. Didn't snap picture or record it then, but very optimistic about the outcome.
5th March, that's 4 days after I've sow the seeds, they've started shooting off.

Hello house, has anyone try growing watermelon in a bucket before? Pls what's your experience; like disease, poor soil nutrients and all that!
How was your harvest like? Is it worth sharing here? Or you keep it in your closet?😂

Before I'll bored you with my rambling, I'll like to ask you people, to journey with me on my adventure. I want to try growing watermelon in bucket, it's been couple of weeks since I've sow the seeds it has already germinate.
