It's obvious most of us re not children of history. American took it's decision out of pride. Diplomacy is the best approach to war. It doesn't want to be seen as being weak by the world hence the decision to take hard steps to punish itself alongside Russia. But mind you, Russian oil will always find a home.
The world market is just too big for Europe and america to control. China and India now holds a big chunk.
The bitter truth is Russian military and economic growth frightens USA And it's allies.
Russian oil is giving it a major stake in Europe decision making process even when it has refused to join the EU and the NATO military Alliance. Sanction is Americans new weapon against any threatening Nation.
