Properties / Re: Is Our Landlord Using Our Glory While We Stay In His House by Rupertek: 11:38pm On Feb 10, 2023
My friend, go to hospital and find cause and solution to your wife's problem.
If you have any glory, you wouldn't have moved into the house in the first place, you should haved built yours.

Road2Success:
Hello nairalanders,

Please I will want you all to read this. though I am not a good writer. I rented an apartment somewhere on the Lagos island. We are just 4 in the compound. When I parked into my apartment my wife came with a pregnancy but we lost the baby when she gave birth to the boy. The following year she got pregnant again, The baby also died the day she gave birth. I am not a religious person but my wife is closer to God. She has been telling me about this compound but I just don't have any reason to think or suspect anything.

Lemme tell you in my compound if one of us is working the others will lose there job. I have no reason to be suspecting anything untill I heard that one of the tenants is owning our landlord 2 years rent and our landlord didn't raise voice. In this Lagos that I know landlord don't joke with house rent. Our landlord don't bother us for rent. Sometimes I will be the one sending the house rent to him without him even asking.

I also heard that was the same thing that happened to previous occupants. They lived there without paying for many years and the landlord didnt disturb them.

I won't say our live is better in this house. We are just struggling to survive. Currently I am the only one working while others don't have a job. I am beginning to doubt if our landlord is truly a generous man as we do called him, since he don't bother us for rent.

My wife have lost two pregnancy in this house. I have been jobless many times in this house. I honestly need people opinion on this matter.

Is this house diabolic or the landlord is just a generous man

Moderators please help me move this to front page

Politics / Re: Lot Of People Migrated From The SE Just To Vote In Lagos - Lagos INEC REC. by Rupertek: 1:58pm On Feb 10, 2023
When you were dishing out your lands and swamps for cash for them to fill up and develope, you didn't know they were not yoruba people and should not be part of you?
CockAndBullStor:
But he's a Yoruba man, that's all matters. If you're not a YORUBA MAN, you can never be a part of US. So, kindly go back to your IPOB-ravaged land. If you do any rubbish this time around, we would take you down!
Politics / Re: Lot Of People Migrated From The SE Just To Vote In Lagos - Lagos INEC REC. by Rupertek: 1:55pm On Feb 10, 2023
But you didn't make any point. First, Igbos are not contesting for governorship of lagos, there are not even serious Igbo candidates in other lagos electoral positions, so what are you talking about?
If people relocated from east just to vote in lagos, they will probably house themselves in hotels?
The idiot that made this inciting allegation was simply tribal.
At the height of insecurity in south east by the secessionists, a lot of people relocated away from south east, thats they reason, nothing more.
lhordspy:
Waow. Just waow
The invaders are really taking this hard.

I have just two things to say:.
Firstly, to the Yorubas forming woke and liberal. There is a Yoruba adage that says;
'Ó jọ gáté, kò jọ gàté, ó fi ẹsẹ̀ méjèèjì tiro'.

Are you not connecting the dots? Una see una lives? Yoruba Ronu ! Rori e!

During the endsarz protest. We all thought we were fighting for the betterment of Nigeria not knowing some people were scheming to takeover lagos. They imported lot of people from the e@st. It was too late before we realised we were been played. They had already destroy our infrastructures, burn down our BRTs. And to even add salt to the injury they blamed it on our elderstateman, Bola Tinubu . Who isn't even a governor or a president.

This election isn't about the betterment of Nigeria to them. It is about Lagos state. The Yoruba-controls Lagos state they so much envy. They want to takeover the place, they know Obi won't win. But they want to takeover Lagos state.

Firstly , Endsars.. One might even wondered as at that time if sarz only exist in Lagos . With the kind of destruction that took place in disguise of protest.

Secondly, they came with the opinion that lagos is no man's land. Same Lagos found in southwest, not southeast, not North. But southwest. How is that a No mans land?

Thirdly , they have been engaging In anything to bring down Tinubu. If Tinubu is gone, which other Political influential person can the Yorubas point to ?

Fourthly , they pushed for a yiibo police commissioner in Lagos. Which they failed.

Now they also want the Yoruba INEC rec gone. Petitions are currently ongoing to remove him.

My second question : why Lagos state? I need honest answers. Why not abuja. Why not rivers, why not kano. Why Lagos ?

Thirdly question: why so much hate on a man who accommodate you people, allow you run your business in peace. You buy land, you build. You enjoy same right as the real indigenes. He Employs most of you guys in different part of state ministries, Parastatals, different arms of governance, your people are commissioners in the state and also house of reps... You can contest for political seats.

You even install Eze in Lagos with ease but reject emir in Aba.

Why so much hate on this man? What has he done to deserve it? Please i need honest answer.

Igbo youths and their understanding of politics can be horrible. They are already allianating Igbo people from Tinubu, if Tinubu wins and becomes president now, start avoiding Igbos as these youths wanted, the same youths will start complaining or marginalization.
Tinubu had no reason to visit south east durring the primaries because he knew the level of disdain Igbos have for him.
He is visiting this time because he has to be seen as a uniting factor, not that he expects votes from igboland, how many votes do we have, by the way?
We are openly showing Hatred to Tinubu all over the place, if he becomes president now, we will be the ones to accuse him of hating Igbos.
Igbo people should learn diplomacy, we str lacking in this area

Until we take more serious steps like passing televised death sentence on kidnappers caught, this menace will stay with us for a long time. Judicial system needs to step up, otherwise even judges will no longer be safe to practice their profession

Passing televised death sentences with executing the order, isn't that useless? How many people have been executed in Nigeria in the last 10 years? None. Whats the need of retaining the death sentence if we have no balls to execute people?
The US, China and other countries are stillcarrying out death executions, without it, crimes will escalate. If effort is not made to force our leaders ti resume executions, we will be in for more serious troubles ahead

Nigerians and our leaders have failed to address One Major Problem facing us, unless this is treat we won't move forward at all.

Even if Nigeria must move forward a fresh new start is a must, fresh agreement and constitution is a must otherwise.

They should leave, ASUU should stop using this to blackmail anybody.
As if increase in Salaries will stop them leaving. Those of them still here are those not capable of leaving, not accepted abroad or those earning a lot more here.
Exporting talents is part of our business , and it must continue unless Nigeria becomes developed country, which will not happen soon.
People are always waiting to step in where others left.
Where in the world would these. Lecturers insist on full salaries after voluntary staying off work for 7 months?
They won't leave. If you are dusting your CV to replace the outgoing lecturers, look for somewhere else, you will see no vacancies.
Are they not part of the rot? They want to export their bad manners abroad?

Even as a chief consultant in the medical field, one still needs to upgrade abroad before fitting into their heath sector. Likewise other regulated discipline there. Las las not all, will even continue in their career path. To think of the money been looted & mismanaged daily, you begin to question the priority of government. And by the way, this is a result of a country where the federal government must handle everything, including roads, school even pilgrimage, etc. What a country!

So whats your suggestion? The best way out then is for Government to hands off education then. Are you part of those that insist on paying 40k in university but pay 150k for 6years old, expecting Government to margically fund tertiary education from God knows where?

I would have taken your point of view if not because I am convinced the FG do not have the interest of ANYONE in mind. Those who govern us are bunch of selfish individuals who care only about siphoning national Wealth into their coffers. Tell me how a minister whose total take home package is Less than N2,000,00 find it easy to purchase a nomination form of N100,000,000?

All FG research institutions are suffering the same thing ASUU is complaining about with IPPIS but they can't protest with force like ASUU.

Unless we go back to the fundamental Question:
What is the Purpose of our Tertiary institutions and what specific values does the FG intend to gain from it?

Right now, the FG is treating the Tertiary institutions as a place to keep the "destructive" young people occupied for at least 4 years!

Suggest exactly what you expect the FG to do in the face of lack of funds
