Until we take more serious steps like passing televised death sentence on kidnappers caught, this menace will stay with us for a long time. Judicial system needs to step up, otherwise even judges will no longer be safe to practice their profession
Passing televised death sentences with executing the order, isn't that useless? How many people have been executed in Nigeria in the last 10 years? None. Whats the need of retaining the death sentence if we have no balls to execute people?
The US, China and other countries are stillcarrying out death executions, without it, crimes will escalate. If effort is not made to force our leaders ti resume executions, we will be in for more serious troubles ahead

Nigeria won't get better even in the next 30 years

Let's not deceive our selves it's not working. If you have the opportunity to japa pls do it fast.

Nigerians and our leaders have failed to address One Major Problem facing us, unless this is treat we won't move forward at all.

NIGERIA ETHNIC GROUPS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE, WE ARE NOT MEANT TO EVEN COEXIST IN THE FIRST PLACE. THESE ETHNIC GROUPS SHOULD BE COUNTRIES ON THEIR OWN.

Let's tell our selves the simple truth, trabalism has finished us. Non of the ethnic groups like themselves and we all wished we were never together.

Even if Nigeria must move forward a fresh new start is a must, fresh agreement and constitution is a must otherwise.

We will continue like this, elections upon elections won't save us
We have over 50 ethnic groups in Nigeria and each of them should be counttry on it's own?
EducationRe: Our Lecturers Will Leave This Country After The ASUU Strike - ASUU President by Rupertek: 8:08am On Sep 22, 2022
They should leave, ASUU should stop using this to blackmail anybody.
As if increase in Salaries will stop them leaving. Those of them still here are those not capable of leaving, not accepted abroad or those earning a lot more here.
Exporting talents is part of our business , and it must continue unless Nigeria becomes developed country, which will not happen soon.
People are always waiting to step in where others left.
Where in the world would these. Lecturers insist on full salaries after voluntary staying off work for 7 months?
They won't leave. If you are dusting your CV to replace the outgoing lecturers, look for somewhere else, you will see no vacancies.
Are they not part of the rot? They want to export their bad manners abroad?

Let them leave. Will they have opportunity of earning in 3 different universities abroad? They will earn more abroad, but will work their socks out. Do they work here? Can these ones be able to adjust to the hardworking and zero corruption policy abroad?
Are you part of those that pay 150k for 6years old and insist government should be charging 30k for tertiary education?
ASUU should continue to collect the Peanuts until they advocate thems for the real independence of universities and fees to be paid

Even as a chief consultant in the medical field, one still needs to upgrade abroad before fitting into their heath sector. Likewise other regulated discipline there. Las las not all, will even continue in their career path. To think of the money been looted & mismanaged daily, you begin to question the priority of government. And by the way, this is a result of a country where the federal government must handle everything, including roads, school even pilgrimage, etc. What a country!
So whats your suggestion? The best way out then is for Government to hands off education then. Are you part of those that insist on paying 40k in university but pay 150k for 6years old, expecting Government to margically fund tertiary education from God knows where?

Ofcourse, it isn't working, why not join hands to make it work, instead of jumping into flight to go help damage those that made their own work. This same non working system produced the lecturers free of charge

Watch out and see them win the election, e go shock you. Was ASUU not striking under the PDP governents?
The only solution out is for goverment to introduce astronomical fees in schools, is that what you want? You will still called them devil party if that happens
TimmyTen:
This is the effect of prolonged ASUU strike all thanks to the evil party. I don't blame the Lecturers for this decision, I pity the students.

Yet APC is campaigning to rescue Nigeria from the same APC…People supporting the evil party, I wonder how they sleep at night

What will APC campaign with in the South east?

Nothing.

They should just apologise to the south east and kneel down and beg.

Apart from insecurity and destabization, the south east got nothing because of the 5% policy.

Thank you Obasanjo for building the Onitsha - Owerri dual carriage road without any long stories. Buhari has been on the only project he's doing in the south east for 7 years and still never completed it.
Apart from dualizing Onitsha owerri road, what other project did PDP carried out in south east for 15 years? Absolutely nothing. Jonathan we supported massively in 2015, what single project did he do in south east? None.
Buhari is doing second niger bridge that successive PDP governents have used as campaign trick, Onitsha/ Enugu road, Enugu/ PH road, Nnewi/Okigwe road and other ones. You should be ashamed of your hatred

Thanks for the mature response.

I would have taken your point of view if not because I am convinced the FG do not have the interest of ANYONE in mind. Those who govern us are bunch of selfish individuals who care only about siphoning national Wealth into their coffers. Tell me how a minister whose total take home package is Less than N2,000,00 find it easy to purchase a nomination form of N100,000,000?

All FG research institutions are suffering the same thing ASUU is complaining about with IPPIS but they can't protest with force like ASUU.

Unless we go back to the fundamental Question:
What is the Purpose of our Tertiary institutions and what specific values does the FG intend to gain from it?

Right now, the FG is treating the Tertiary institutions as a place to keep the "destructive" young people occupied for at least 4 years!
Suggest exactly what you expect the FG to do in the face of lack of funds

DSC7:
Rip Mr Senator...

He was among those that refused to fix our health sector..

Don't let them deceive you. What Obidients are doing today is not half compared or anything close today to what they did to Jonathan in 2015.

They called him weak, dead, ogogoro man and all sorts of names. They named their dogs and pigs after goodluck and Jonathan. They carried his coffin on the streets and when he visited Bauchi, they organized boys to attack him with stones. They called Patience Jonathan a hippopotamus and mocked her struggles with the English Language even when she was making a genuine attempt at addressing issues.

Suddenly, they want to talk to you about respect in politics and civility ? Suddenly they want you to ignore their flaws and focus on issues. Again I say, don't let them deceive you.

Unlike what they did to Jonathan in 2015, Obidients are only suffocating them with the truth. They lied their way to power in 2015 and are trying to form victim to silence people who are standing for the truth.

Hit them hard with facts and truths. Hit them where it pains them the most. Give it to them wotowoto, drag their past, their present and their future. Put it on their faces and torment them with your truths.

That they are complaining about it shows it hurts them. It shows you are saying the truth. Increase your fire, don't sleep on this one. As long as you are on the path of truth, as long as you are stating the facts, don't relent.

The APC does not deserve respect on these streets.

Enough is enough.
Don't give in to APC's lies
