RuqLuq:
A modern, data-driven agricultural enterprise is expanding operations and requires the immediate employment of a highly disciplined, technically sound, and hands-on Farm Manager to lead a commercial Habanero pepper (Atarodo) production field in the Mosimi / Sagamu axis of Ogun State.

The farm is fully structured around automated commercial borehole assets, advanced disc-filtration networks, and integrated gravity-fed drip irrigation, with clear blueprints for immediate, large-scale multi-acre expansion.

We are strictly looking for a field leader who understands the high-precision science of commercial crop production—not a "laptop farmer" or an administrative supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

*Infrastructure Oversight: Manage the daily operations and maintenance of commercial borehole assets, water storage facilities, and alternative power configurations.

*Irrigation & Fertigation Execution: Oversee precise daily drip irrigation cycles and execute flawless chemical/nutrient injection via a Venturi fertigation system based on specific crop growth stages.

*Crop Health & Scouting: Perform rigorous daily field walks to detect early signs of pests (aphids, thrips, mites) or fungal/bacterial blights, implementing strict preventative spray schedules.

*Nursery & Seedling Management: Supervise high-value F1 Hybrid nursery setups using specialized seedling trays, coco-peat mediums, and protected shade structures.

*Data & Records Logging: Maintain daily records of water consumption, fertilizer applications, pest control schedules, yield metrics, and casual labor hours.

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

*Education: B.Agric, B.Tech, or HND in Agronomy, Crop Production, Soil Science, or a related discipline (FUNAAB or similar agricultural institution graduates highly preferred).

*Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of verifiable, hands-on experience managing commercial open-field vegetable or pepper farms in Southwest Nigeria.

*Technical Mastery: Deep, uncompromised practical knowledge of drip irrigation systems, disc filter maintenance, and Venturi fertilizer injectors.

*Language: Fluency in English is required; conversational Yoruba is a strong advantage for managing local field hands.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

*Base Salary: Competitive monthly base salary (₦120,000 – ₦150,000 depending on experience).

*Performance Incentive: An aggressive 5% to 10% cash profit-share on the net revenue of all harvests successfully delivered to market.

*Career Growth: Direct progression path to Head of Farm Operations with an upgraded executive compensation package as the acreage expands.

Interested and qualified agronomists should send their CV/Resume directly via Email to: mosimiexpansion.project@gmail.com

**Please include a brief 2-sentence summary of your past experience handling F1 Hybrid seeds or drip irrigation networks in your message

Kenda22:
Sometimes, farming has little to do with acquiring Funab degrees. It's more practical.

I am a philosophy graduate. But can effectively manage your farm.

Thank you for your interest and your comment!

You are absolutely correct that practical experience is the lifeblood of farming, and passion counts for a lot. However, this specific project utilizes high-precision automated infrastructure—including multi-stage Venturi fertigation networks, strict 120-mesh disc filtration calibration, and delicate F1 hybrid plant pathology management—we strictly require a solid baseline in Crop Science or Agronomy to mitigate initial technical risks. We appreciate your drive and wish you the absolute best in your endeavors!

The position remains open for technical applicants.
