But has anyone u know been tru this kind of dilemma... anyways thanks for ur advice....I'll do as u said. then I'll reapply...clean slate! but I'll apply thru ikeja not vi...to speed up the process(alot of ppl say it's quicker applying in ikeja)...but attracts extra fee...Thanks |

Yes I hv....on the 29th of June |
Thanks for ur swift reply I'll do that now...but I hope it won't raise suspicion and please wot excuse can I give for my application to be cancelled and passport returned...can it affect my next application?thanks again |
Hello justwise...thanks for ur contributions. Unfortunately am new to this forum... realised a little late guys like u existed....I need ur advice urgently. Just applied (29th of June at Vi)for a UK business visa for plab 2 exam coming up in September.since then I hv got really nervous... beginning to realize I had made some blunders on my application..most especially when I started reading the reviews on this forum. they are as follows: 1. my dad is my sponsor so in his bank statements(2)-one has a recent deposit of 300k by himself, balance before then was about 2.8 million...other bank statement has about 2.3 million with no recent lump deposits. my question is will this make the Ec suspicious... because even without that recent deposit funds would still be adequate. Also the bank statements where printed 3/6/16 but submitted 29/6/16..is this gap too much? My dad owns a private hospital and I help running it he pays me cash in hand..even though I also work at the government hospital in osun state where salaries hv been horrible for the past year that's why he agreed to sponsor me. I also included my irregular, dry bank statement in my visa application though and explained why hes sponsoring me. Also I am married with a kid too so hv other commitments. 2.while I was in medical skool I was a frequent traveller to the UK but the last time a travelled I spent almost 5 months(can't remember how long I stated was going to be there for)but during my stay other plans came up so had to stay that long but left UK to reapply again to take an American medical exam which wasn't done in Nigeria but got refused in late 2008 due to incomplete documentation but reapplied immediately again for them to say I hv inadequate funds...so had to cancel my exam. D blunder I made here in my recent application was when they asked how Long did I spend in my last visit I said a month which wasn't true... as I hv explained above.... so pls with this blunders should I cancel my application even though it's on its way to the DMC( not yet received)...should I request my passport be sent back before they start digging dirt out.I don't mind applying again...Even though time n money will be lost. Thanks in advance. |
@lolaed Im not aware of any plab courses in nigeria.....there isn't any specific book u use for plab...but make sure u have the oxford handbook series...preferable the 9th editions, read past questions, lots of em.also join rxpg.com-its an Indian/paki website for MDs where they post lots of past questions with answers....and they have a lot of advice which u can take. Good luck |
@kennisch By the way why are u going for salehi course...is it better, cheaper than samsonplab course?.....and also when u applied for the visa u said u were denied within 24hrs? were you interviewed or you just drop your documents at the embassy and wait for your fate....cheers |
@kennisch So Sorry doc for all this wahala...this is wot I HV been fearing all along-REFUSAL!even with all ur documents intact the ukba will always try n find smithing to jeopardize ur plans.I am also having issues with my work place..we actually on strike since September last year and no alert since then..so I have made up my plan not to use my own account regardless of how much is in there....they will start asking how did I make this money when there's no proof of payslips or salary coming in...they don't want to know if u earn money on the sides. I feel that's where u might HV made the mistake...u should HV used a sponsor from the start because u are not been paid at work...putting money into ur account will only raise suspicion...and once they refuse u it gets a lot harder to convince them of ur changed status when reapplying. And the situation of the country isn't making things easier for all of us trying to get out of this shit hole...the country is completely finished and the ukba knows this...so they feel they can play God...disrupt ur plans...do as they feel like at that moment they receive visa applications. Regardless of ur set back...I feel u should see an immigration lawyer to iron all this out, might cost u sm more cash but I feel that's the only way out for now....or u can wait abit till ur financial status has actually changed before reapplying....but waiting also can be a bad idea cos this Ppl can change their immigration rules at any time.... To sum it all I feel this visa issue is all luck...if u are successful... just know say na God do am! Good luck with ur plans. |
Thanks so much rugged7,....for all d hints.I really appreciate it.cheers! |
Hello again rugged7, Pls I wonder if u could help clarify some issues regarding the plab visa....I am planning to apply soon but there is this issue with the financial aspect..unfortunately i am working in osun state at a government hospital and as a lot of people know its been really bad here with salaries, government owing us 5-6 months salaries and also paying us half salaries and to top it all we doctors in the state have been on strike since September and our beloved governor has stopped our salaries since September last yr,now I am thinking of using my dad as my sponsor using his bank statements,my own bank account is in disarray with very inconsistent salaries and of course almost dried up at the moment. My dad says he'll not have any problem stepping in as my sponsor,he will write a statement and sign saying that he'll be my sponsor..... but I don't know how the ukba will see that-me as a working individual...with a job...why can't I sponsor myself! And also I checked online that the plab visa is now under the standard visa category but some are still saying its business category, some sites say u need just 3 months bank statements while others say 6 months, also lately people are saying u have to go all the way to the embassy in person for the visa application unlike before when u send ur documents!Hope u can enlighten me on some if not all of this issues, thanks again for ur time. |
Thanks rugged7 for all the info....will keep in touch....cheers |
Thanks rugged7...for the swift reply. Am planning on taking the plab 2 late may/early June 2016...and offcourse will have to attend either swammy or samson course,am still in Nigeria and that's why I want to get things in motion before leaving for the uk,don't want to have to come all the way back for some document or for something which I should have settled whilst still here. Like you explained....so i will take this documents to MDCN and also pay for the letter of good standing and postage then ask them to send it to the GMC when needed? Or will I have to still come back for this? I would have preferred giving the exams, securing a job, having all documentations done, before coming back to nigeria for the work permit visa. And also is it advisable to tell the UK visa office about attending the prep course?...or doesn't add any benefit to securing a visa.....I have heard of some Ppl been denied UK plab visa on some ridiculous grounds. Thanks |
Hi rugged, Thanks for the words regarding the plab/UK issue...I just wanted to know if u can give a better insight into what exactly will the MDCN need to send to the GMC UK....,how do i go about it please?will I hv to contact mdcn in person(lagos or abuja office?) And secondly,is it a must I do clinical attachments before a job can be secured in the UK? Thanks |
