WHY GO THROUGH PAIN WHEN YOU CAN AVOID IT? BEYOND THE SUPERFICIAL LOVE | Musa A. Bello By Insightful Observer on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 WORLD SICKLE CELL DAY I am ready to part with anyone because of Safiya, I cannot allow mere game of probabilities be a hindrance to our envisaged marital life, what is love if one cannot take chances or make sacrifices, haba! These were the words Al-ameen was absentmindedly speaking to himself aloud, talking with an air of resoluteness of decision. Unknown to him his mother who was passing by had heard him and stopped walking, she moved closer the entrace of his room and had spend few minutes there without him even realizing her presence, and she had heard his aggressive utterances, she was about to leave when he lifted his head up and saw her, her moody countenance made him concluded that she must had heard him, he quickly jumped up and went begging her, “please Umma wallahi I cannot live without Safiya” with teary eyes. His mother began “What is true love? If you really love Safiya as you claimed, you will have heed our advice and stop this your irrational idea of marrying her. Sickle Cell Disease has been a source of unending life anguish to many people, simply because of their ignorance or recklessness in decision. I am highly disappointed in you Al-ameen, you are the least person I ever expected to allow irrational impulses take over your sound judgement, especially with regards to this issue. Being that you are a graduate of Human Anatomy, you must have had enough knowledge that would enable you make a sound judgement. It is Allah that destined both of you to have an AS genotype, no one can escape his destiny, it is his Divine will, just accept it and pray for the best. The most sincere display of affection and love you could do for Safiya is to help save her and your unborn children from the torture of Sickle Cell Disease. This is not a mere game of probability as you claimed but a risk that cannot ever be taken by a sane mind. As for my blessings in a marriage that shall disturb my future grandchildren, that I won’t offer, my decision is final”. Let us just pray that Allah should bless us with better spouses, our marriage is not possible Safiya, let us just obey our parents for the sake of our future, said Al-ameen amidst tears. He was about to continue speaking after wiping tears from his watery eyes when he heard the disconnecting tone of his phone indicating that she must have hung up on him. Al-ameen’s decision was a sound one, never allow love blind you to the extent you are willing to punish your unborn children, sickle cell disease is real. Let us all prevent this avoidable disease by going for genotype test before embarking on a journey to marital life. Let us all support those living with it # World Sickle Cell Disease Day

Whenever I listen to new age feminists I cannot hold back my amusement and bemusement. I shudder at their loss of perspective. However I believe that many of them see the gaping holes in their extremist ideology but hold dearly to it nevertheless for political and social reasons. Feminists like Chimamanda Adichie fall into this clique. The clique of feminists who talk about patriarchy as though it was a social construct. They talk about patriarchy as some sort of invention; something men invented to the detriment of women. How lame. It is either feminists like Chimamanda know better than to tout this position but do so for other mischievous reasons (which I believe to be the case) or they are just not as intelligent as we all thought them to be. I say this because when we foray deeper into knowledge afforded us by basic biology alone we begin to understand why patriarchy is the popular game in town. Patriarchy (the sociocultural system that allows a society to be male controlled and centred) is not and has never been the fault of anybody. Rather it is the outworking or spin-off of natural biology. In other words, we have patriarchy because the world is full of testosterone! Knowledge is interconnected, not isolated. People who have the habit of isolating a field of knowledge from other fields end up thinking and talking like the Chimamandas of this world. They might speak eloquently and brilliantly, even persuasively, but not roundedly. They are masters at oratorically selling their point of view whilst shrouding the bigger view in obscurity. They do this quite intelligently and often get away with it because they are relatively intelligent. I keep referencing Chimamanda because she personifies exactly that. She isolates many areas of knowledge in a bid to tout her radical ideas. Culture is not fixed by men but by something within men. Society is not driven by men but driven by something that drives men. Madam Chi only focuses on men without caring to understand other deeper factors simply because the superficiality of it serves her purpose. Like I said, all knowledge is interconnected. At the core of patriarchy is biochemistry. Biochemistry influences physiology and psychology. Both then influence sociology (human relations and interactions). Social norms and habits then create cultures including the practice of patriarchy. Hence, if people don’t want to see societies controlled and led by men they must first alter their biology, specifically eradicate their patriarchal hormone. Testosterone is a patriarchal hormone. The testosterone is the sex hormone or steroid responsible for reproductive health in males. Men generally have high testosterone levels. This is their natural biology. The testosterone is the reason most, if not all, men have deep voices, lots of facial/body hair, high bone mass, high muscle mass, high libido and other masculine features. Few women who have these features have abnormally high testosterone levels and it is considered an hormonal disorder. That is, it is not normal for a woman to have high testosterone. So now we see biochemistry influencing physiology (physical features). But this hormone wields bigger influences. Research has demonstrated that the testosterone controls behaviors! This gonadal hormone is responsible for many behaviors common in virtually all men. They are Aggression, Competition, Domination and Exaggerated SelfEsteem. Hence we see how testosterone influences mental states (psychology) and behaviour (sociology). Unlike women, men are hardwired by nature to be aggressive or hyperactive, to compete, to dominate and to be egoistic. This hormone has both good and bad sides. Men excel in high-risk and high-powered jobs or vocations because of testosterone; jobs like Military/Law Enforcement, Firefighting, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Coal-Mining, Blacksmithing, Bodyguarding/Night Guards, Butchering, Hunting, Bricklaying, Carpentry, Truck-Driving etc. Yes, there are a VERY few women in these jobs but they are the rare exceptions rather than the rule. And they are usually women with higher than normal testosterone levels; a biological abnormality. Testosterone levels also affect how emotions behave. According to research, we now know that low testosterone levels affect emotions and men with rare and low testosterone are more likely to suffer depression and react emotionally to issues. This makes a whole lot of sense because we can now understand why women are easily influenced by their emotions. They have low testosterone compared to men! But this has even far reaching implications. There are certain jobs or tasks that would never be suitable for emotional people because emotions prevent and cloud logical, analytical and mathematical thinking. Guys, it is not sheer happenstance or a happy coincidence that we have MORE MALE mathematicians, philosophers, computer engineers, web designers, research scientists, astronauts and LEADERS. These are fields that demand lots of analytical and logical thinking rather than emotive thinking. Jobs that demand testosterone! Men are leaders in human societies because of testosterone. Men are men because of testosterone. This is why when western men want to become women or transgender they go for what is called Testosterone Hormone Therapy. The lower your testosterone the less of a man you become. And as we’ve seen, this does not only affect your physiology but also your psychology as well; it affects your ability to assess matters devoid of emotional colouration and adopt a more logical and mathematical approach to them. This is why men with normal testosterone levels LEAD in virtually every human society. Nature (God) gave men the upper hand. Patriarchy is the result. From the standpoint of sociology, patriarchy is therefore inevitably the only natural consequence. Because of testosterone men are stronger and less emotional. They become natural leaders. They protect the weaker sex. They provide for them. They sacrifice for them in times of war and peace. They take the lead. And as leaders THEY ALSO MAKE THE RULES! This is the case for patriarchy from the most basic unit of life; the cell. But feminists want you to believe that men formed an unholy alliance, ganged up on women and invented patriarchy. These feminists are either stupid or pretending to be for their selfish agenda. All knowledge is interconnected. Our biology influences our physiology, psychology and even objectivity. And they in return influence how society is ordered. If you want to see the end of patriarchy, then be poised to reduce the testosterone levels in every male. Be ready to do a testosterone hormone therapy for all men. Turn them to transgender 👠men. Otherwise you are fighting a lost cause. # truthissacred Selah. Olakunle Allison |
SURPRISED? THIS IS JUST TIP OF AN ICEBERG by Musa A. Bello “We can have more than we’ve got because we can become more than we are” – Jim Rohn They said he is not a democrat, he shamed them by firstly dropping the “General” title on his assumption of office, he showed them by not engaging in interference-politics, he surprised them by allowing Ministries, Departments and Agencies to run on a natural course within the boundaries of constitutional provisions. Now they are saying he does not respect rule of law as if the judiciary is not an independent arm of government. One outstanding quality of President Muhammadu Buhari is his ability to give surprises, not just mere surprises but remarkable ones that get etched in history. The posthumous award of GCFR to M.K.O Abiola is the most recent surprise. PMB is a man who deeply understands the pain of losing election, not just losing but winning and then being denied your victory, hence it is understandable that he is trying to entrench our democracy with remarkable recognition of selfless efforts of people that sought for its establishment. This is really a commendable effort and giant stride in strengthening our democratic ideals. Our beloved President, as we continue to pray for you and our beloved country, we hope for more surprises in terms of security (Zamfara, Birnin Gwari, Benue etc) and economic stability, no doubt you are putting efforts, but as rightly said by Prof. Jega few weeks ago, we humans tend to ask for more when given something, please we are asking for more. Our love for the president and desire for success in his quest in making Nigeria great is ever increasing, Though our expectations are very high, we are sure his utmost love for this nation is greater and shall insha Allah be a driving force towards meeting our expectations. This is so because, when desire for success meets willpower and persistent determination, the result is a resounding success. Let us pray for him in this highly spiritual moment. Real blindness is not blindness of the eyesight, but that of the insight. http://insightfulobserver.com.ng/blog/2018/06/07/surprised-this-is-just-tip-of-an-iceberg/ Musa A. THOUGHTS OF AN INSIGHTFUL OBSERVER News had it that yesterday our President had his iftaar together with some state governors, it was a peaceful and ambience sight to behold. The serenity of the environment was quite an envious one, I mean not the food and chop-ables but the peace. How I wish Zamfara people would have such kind of peace (not minding the pitiable eatables they would have for the iftaar), but then they are not so lucky, why? Because some heartless people have sworn to continue spreading mischief in a ruthless and barbaric manner. President Buhari is a great leader, cherished and respected by all patriotic citizens because of his utmost love and concern for Nigeria and her citizens. His compassionate nature endeared him more to people, even his avowed enemies would not debate his integrity. But sadly, the ineptitude of some of his appendages like ministers and special advisers together with that of the clueless governor that rode on his back to win the seat, is glaringly disturbing, how could one be the first citizen in a state and continue to have peace when hundreds to thousands of his people are being killed and maimed on a daily basis? With no pragmatic solutions and intervention to curb the menace! This is unbelievable. Seriously the Zamfara killings are disturbing and heartbreaking as they have almost become a daily occurrence. One thing I'm sure of is that, some people are out to destroy the President and his government, sadly he is helping them by subtly allowing them to continue having their way, as the Commander-in-chief he ought to and have every right to question the governor and the security machineries, to demand to see a halt to these nefarious atrocities, we know he is trying and we are appreciative of that, but he really needs to step up his approach to the issue and ensure a lasting solution. The People's General we know was and still is that one that cried at different points in time because of the miserable situation he saw some people and wish he could do something. Please we your most sincere lovers and diehard supporters are appreciative of all your efforts and tenacity of purpose in moving this nation to greatness. We are urging you to shame our haters and your enemies (including all the daughters of Jezebel and doubting Thomases). Looking forward to more efforts from you. Musa A. Bello # PMBtill2023

msughdoo:The way you're talking surprises me! I doubt if you are what you claim to be, you're just displaying childishness |
Godson201333:Let me enlighten you a bit: Here in Nigeria we have Pharmaceutical Industries that produces certain drugs which aren't quite much, it's not every drug that is being imported. The reason why our industries are not as much and large as they should be is because the federal government is not helping matters, they have made importation of Raw materials needed for production very expensive by putting heavy tax and import duties whereas purchasing them abroad and bringing them here is less costly and more cheaper, and trust me no one will buy the costlier one because it was locally made |
msughdoo:Being a Medical Doctor is equally noble and prestigious, every profession is there to serve the society. I don't mind playing second fiddle to you guys as far as I'm making an impact in my own capacity. Life is not about competition, its about fulfilment. I feel fulfilled as a Pharmacist and you feel fulfilled as a Doctor. |
INSIGHTFUL OBSERVER says: Every profession is important and needed by the society. The choice of course to study is usually motivated by several factors, of all the reasons, job security is by far the most regarded yardstick in making a career choice. PHARMACY Pharmacy is a course that deals with the art and science of drug knowledge in all its aspects and ramifications, ranging from drug discovery, drug use, pharmacotherapy, toxicology and a host of other aspects. This is a course that can be pursued by a science student for the benefits that come with studying it. These benefits include: 1. Job Security Pharmacy is a course that guarantees Job, either self-employment or civil service. Considering the Nigerian situation, most people are after what will offer them food on the table. There isn't sufficient number of Pharmacists to cater for the Nigerian population, could you imagine as of 2010, there was only one Indigene Pharmacist from Zamfara state and one Pharmacy in Jigawa state despite the numerous opportunities. 2. Service to humanity There is no greater joy than helping people, it gets back to someone in different ways. 3. In-study Financial opportunities As a pharmacy student, one is eligible for oil scholarships such as Chevron, NNPC/TOTAL, AGBAMI, SHELL, SABF that usually give amount ranging from N100,000, N150,000 to N200,000 and you can get more than one, though now they're mostly restricting a person to only one. If you are from states like Jigawa, Kaduna, Adamawa, Zamfara, Kebbi, Gombe, Taraba and Bauchi. You'll be bonded with the state government and they'll be paying you monthly salary of different amount ranging from N27,000 to N48,000 which should be enough to help sustain you. 4. Nobility and Prestige Pharmacy is a noble course, being a Pharmacist comes with prestige and nobility, it commands respect and admiration. I'm proud to be a Pharmacist |
