your question is not clear.Either u work in VI and also live at VI or U work in VI and live at another place.The expenses for the two are different because of difference in transportation and cost of feeding.The most expensive cost of living areas in Lagos are:Ikeja GRA,Ikoyi,VI,Lekki-Ajah.As far as u re in any of these places,cost of living will be higher and no one can tell you d specific amount u will spend,it depends on how u want to live your life,but no matter how prudent u re in spending,cost of living in any of the above places is very very high.

I live in Lagos, not sure living in VI.

I want to know the average cost of living in Lagos?

The average that means it not bad and not high.

Rent - N3m-7m per annum for a 3 bedroom house.
Food - N75k per month (family of 3)
Transportation - 2 car household -  N30k per month (Petrol and oil only.
Driver - N30k per month
Generator running -  N50k - N150k per month.
