According to a report by Sky News on Friday, April 17, 2026, US President Donald Trump is reportedly prepared to consider further concessions in ongoing diplomatic efforts to bring an end to tensions with Iran, amid claims from a senior Gulf official that he is strongly motivated to secure a resolution.
Trump is “desperate” for the conflict with Iran to end and would be willing to accept more compromises in order to reach an agreement.
“I think he would accept more compromises because he badly wants this to end,” the official was quoted as saying, adding that the US president is “serious about talks” even as negotiations remain fragile.
The Gulf official also suggested that while Trump remains committed to securing a deal, Iran has been reluctant to make concessions that would allow the US administration to present a clear political victory.
One of the most contentious issues remains Iran’s nuclear programme, particularly uranium enrichment.
The United States is reportedly pushing for a long-term suspension of enrichment activities, with proposals calling for a freeze lasting up to 20 years.
In contrast, Iran has countered with a significantly shorter timeline, offering a maximum restriction of five years.
Tehran continues to insist that its nuclear programme is strictly for civilian energy and medical purposes, rejecting allegations that it is seeking to develop nuclear weapons capability.

It's like you just wake up from sleep, the news read Iran accept the Trump 14 days ceasefire and you are saying that Iran propose ceasefire deal, Trump that was telling the Iran to accept his deal for over two weeks now and Iran has been rejecting it until now Iran gives 10 points conditions and all the conditions was accepted by Trump.

The MOST important thing is that Iran has agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz.

Any other point on the ceasefire deal is mere RANT.

US and Israel have achieved their goals in Iran significantly. A regime change has happened.

Iran has lost it's sovereignty as US and Israel can just stroll in anyhow and cut them to size. Iran has been reduced to Yemen.

I hope Iran does not collapse into civil war when all this is over.

Iran is attacking randomly and it's bravely to you. If Israel enter their airspace and start raining bombs, you will start crying.

The US media is now reporting a US official as saying that two US helicopters involved in search-and-rescue operations for the downed pilots were hit by Iranian fire.

The pilots that ejected from the f15 jet are safe....and were resuced deep in Iran.

April 6 is coming..

A second US military plane — an A-10 Thunderbolt II — was struck by Iran on Friday, forcing the pilot to eject, according to a US official familiar with the matter.

The pilot of the A-10, also known as a Warthog, was able to navigate the plane out of Iranian territory before ejecting from the aircraft and was subsequently rescued, the official said.

Iran went too far the punitive measure that will follow will be too extreme for Iran to handle.

Iran is already on sanctions and looking for a way to transfer the sanctions to them and as the opportunities come Iran make use of it, just only three weeks for the Iran sanctions everybody is feeling it very hot and Trump don't have options than to be lifting the sanctions on Iran. Forget those 22 countries it is just bluffing to scare Iran nothing will happen.
