Hi everyone, I’m considering Australian skilled migration and would appreciate advice from anyone familiar with the process, especially Nigerian engineers who have gone through it recently. My profile: - 26 years old, Nigerian - BEng Chemical Engineering (2:1), Covenant University, 2022 - Currently completing an MSc Petroleum Asset Management, University of Port Harcourt - 3+ years’ experience in upstream oil & gas - Currently working as a Petroleum Engineer Analyst - Experience across production engineering, forecasting, reserves, economics/business planning and portfolio analysis - Skills: Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL, GAP, PROSPER, MBAL - No Australian study/work experience - Yet to take IELTS/PTE I’m primarily interested in the 189, 190 or 491 skilled migration routes. I’d appreciate advice on: 1. Should I nominate Chemical Engineer or Petroleum Engineer, and how would Engineers Australia assess my degree/work experience? 2. What points range should I realistically target? 3. Which states are currently worth considering for my background? 4. Would applying directly from Nigeria make sense, or would Australian postgraduate study significantly improve my prospects? 5. What should I roughly budget for the entire process? My long-term career interest is broader energy, so I’m also open to power, renewables, energy systems/economics and techno-economic roles. Thanks in advance. |
Is there a way to receive Naira anonymously, If so how do you go about it. Thank you. |
