Osila2:Thank you a lot. I have just wasted my time for a few days preparing Memorandum and Articles of Association. What a waste. Anyway, thank you for letting us know. By the way, can you or someone else guide me on how to file the annual return for my previously registered company? It appears there's no online portal for that. Please help on this. God bless you |
Simcha:You mean 6 acres? Also, when people mention plots, I personally get confused. It looks like there is no general standard for what area of land constitutes one plot. For example, I see some people saying a plot is 120 ft x 60 ft (claimed to be Lagos standard), while others say that a plot is 100 ft x 50 ft (claimed to be Ibadan standard). Also, I heard sometimes ago that the federal government standard is more than the private land standards. This leaves me confused. On the other hand, it seems acre measure is more general, and same as in other countries, ie, 1 acre = 4046 m2 = 43,560 ft2 Therefore, I advise when we ask questions relating to areas of land in plots, it is better to clarify which type of plot, Ibadan, Lagos, or federal government plot, or better state the area of the land in m2 or ft2. The survey plan of the land will have the total area, and if you dont have that, you can use your gps enabled mobile phone to measure the area: it is very easy. Thank you, and I welcome your corrections and ideas please. |
Simcha: Lesgupnigeria:In that case, let me bring in my maths. I may be wrong, but allow me to display my ignorance, perhaps, I will learn more from the experts' corretions. Each plant will occupy 2.5m x 2.5m = 6.25 m2. The total available land area = 100m x 50m = 5000 m2. The No of plantain suckers that can be accommodated, assuming 100% land coverage = 5000 m2/6.25m2 = 800 suckers. If we think 100% land utilization is not realistic, then 90% coverage would mean we can comfortably push into the ground, 0.9x800 = 720 suckers. This is way more 150 suckers. Please let me know if I made a mistake in the calculations, so that I may benefit from your knowledge. Thank you in advance. |
Simcha:Lesgupnigeria, may I ask, what is the required spacing between suckers in both directions (along each row and across the rows)? |
Lesgupnigeria:Many thanks to you brother. More power to elbow |
Lesgupnigeria:Thank you. It is about 5 acres of land. The farm is located off New-Ife/Gbongan road in osun state. Thanks |

Please, does anyone know the approximate minimum daily water requirement for a stand of plantain? I have a farm at a location where there is no water available anywhere in the vicinity. I am considering making a well, borehole, or supply water to on-farm reservoirs by water tankers. So I want to make a plan on that. Related to the issue of irrigation is another question: what sort of problems am I liable to run into, if I decide not to water my plants, and how severe can these problems be. My reason for these questions is that it will be very difficult for me financially to fund the irrigation project. So I want to see if avoiding it would not be too catastrophic for me. For your reference, as for 2 weeks ago, here is the look of one batch of the plants:

Hi Gmmail, Gmmail:I've signed up, so how do I go about specifying target countries. |
Hi Gmmail, This easy2text looks somewhat creepy. They claimed 1 and 4 units per nigeria and global sms respectively on the 'coverage' page, but on 'faqs' page, it suddenly became 2 and 12 units. Moreso, 4 unit@#2.7 per global sms isn't good enough for my need. I would appreciate if u could help with a better provider. Thanks |
Thanks a lot Mr Timileyin. I can't see the pricing on this routesms. Can u pls help me with other ones? |
Hi great nairalanders. I need your guide and cool suggestions on a standard and reliable SMS gateway. Pls I have a website which I need to integrate sms service to. So I need a standard SMS gateway to connect with the following features -API facility -Good message delivery speed and high level of reliability -International coverage, particularly middle east -Competitive and Pay-as-u-go price plan, i.e, no monthly fee: buy credit and use -Other cool features NB: pls I dont need those type of providers who had just been helped to start SMS biz for 15K. They can't handle my needs. Thank you all and have a cool day. |
Hi great niralanders. I want to know if anyone here applied for MSc in KFUPM for the Second Semester 2009-10 admission. This is because I wish to see people to collaborate with so that we can all track the events of visa letters dispatch together. Thanks ![]() |
Hello great Nairalanders. I have a question about scoring in GRE. The school i'm eyeing for my graduate studies stipulates a minimum of a 520 score in GRE. Now after preparations, i attempted the first practice test in the ETS POWERPREP, and i scored 360 verbal and 580 quantitative, lets assume i score 5/5 in AWA, how will this score be aggregated. I want to know this so that i'll know how close i am to the required 520 by the school. Thanks and happy Nairalanding! |
Good day all. Please can anybody pls help me with the info on how to register for GRE general TEST, while in Nigeria. ETS does not allow Nigerians to pay with debit card. They list some other means to pay, but sincerely, i'm really confused. Pls guide me. I don't want those bodies that will rob me by asking 4 $300, while the normal price is $180 ![]() |
