His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim during his campaign train to Niger State yesterday paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (Rtd) in his hometown, Minna, Niger State.

A greater Nigeria is assured!

Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, was the cynosure of all eyes at the the greater Nigeria Conference which held at the International Conference Centre Abuja.

The greater Nigeria Conference was organised by Nzuko Umuna, a political mobilisation group championing the actualization of president of Nigeria from the South East geo-political zone. Sen. Anyim was described by the many prominent individuals who attended the conference as the best and brightest chance of the South East to produce the president of Nigeria come 2023. In a testimonial documentary shown at the conference, all past presidents of Nigeria said Sen. Anyim is the most qualified person from the South East that can be president of Nigeria in 2023 given his experience, knowledge, exposure, and acceptability by Nigerians from every parts of the country. President Obasanjo said "any time Anyim is given opportunity to serve Nigeria he makes good use of such opportunity" Meaning that if he is elected President of Nigeria in 2023 he will make good use of the opportunity to rebuild Nigeria. President Goodluck Jonathan described Anyim as "a young man who is committed to the service of this country and if he is given another opportunity to serve, he will do better". On his own part President Ibrahim Babangida described Anyim as a respectfully person who always has something to offer anytime a matter concerns Nigeria.

The former President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Chief Nnia Nwodo said "Anyim holds nothing back and is impatient for results, I think he is one man we will more from in the future" The current president General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Prof. George Obiozo said "Anyim is one of our best and brightest and we are happy with his progress in politics as a young statesman and a patriot. After all the accolades, the entire conference erupted in a wild applause for Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim.

The people of South East and all the leaders from the South West, North, South South and the Middle Belt who attended the conference, agreed that with Sen. Anyim South East has clearly shown that they are ready now to take over the presidency after President Buhari in 2023.

The notion that south east Presidential aspirants have adopted a consensus candidate has been repudiated as false.
One of the top notch presidential aspirants, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim dispelled the rumour while appearing in a Silverbird live television programme “Real Talk” on Tuesday.

“Yes, the aspirants from the south east met. The issue on the table now is not who becomes the candidate of the Party but where the presidential candidate of the Party should come from.
“The second issue is, what qualifications should the candidate have? The qualification is not measured by academic qualification but by the experience of such person, how much of the problems of the country the person knows and his capacity to confront the challenges facing Nigeria.

“If you watched what we said the day we met, we didn’t talk about consensus. We avoided that word. We said we are going to work together to ensure that a south easterner becomes the next president”, Anyim clarified.
It would be recalled that at the meeting of the four prominent south east presidential aspirants on April 9th, 2022, they resolved to work together to ensure that a southeasterner emerges the presidential candidate of the PDP.
Anyim who read the decisions of the four said, “we have agreed to work together as a team to ensure that a south easterner emerges as PDP flag bearer.

“We intend to consult with other zones on this issue and it is based on fairness and equity.
“In doing so, it is important to note that we have always supported other zones and we now expect them to reciprocate”, the four aspirants stated.

Frontline PDP Presidential aspirant, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has promised Nigerian youths that his administration would create opportunities for the youth to excel.

He stated this on Tuesday when he received members of the youth Democratic Movement in his campaign office in Abuja.
He recalled his own trajectory in the public service of Nigeria saying that he had the privilege of holding high positions in government as a youth.
According to him, he first got elected into the Senate at 37 years and became the President of the Senate at 39 years.
The presidential aspirant said that based on his own experience, he knows that it is advantageous to appoint young people into offices, but that they must be young people who have something to offer to the country.
The former secretary to the Government of the Federation acknowledged that young people have the advantage of strength, and drive and perform at their optimum when given the opportunity to serve.

“As a younger person, you have energy, as a younger person, you have the drive, as a younger person, your senses are sharp, your brain is sharp, as a younger person, your body can endure, you can work overnight and still come out in the morning strong and able.”
Anyim reeled out both Nigerians and international figures that made landmark achievements in their youth and charged his visitors to go and make their marks. "it is not enough to demand for appointments into government positions for the youth. The youth must step forward and show interest and participate in the governance process. When you get involved you give weight to your demands"
He also assured that women, physically challenged persons and Nigerians in the diaspora would be mainstreamed in his administration. Earlier, the leader of the delegation of the Youth Democratic Movement, Mr. Erhagbai Olajide Christmas, told Sen. Anyim that they came to see him to confirm what they have been reading that he plans to do for the Youth if he gets elected as president of Nigeria in 2023. Mr. Olajide said they are particularly excited that Sen. Anyim is the only presidential aspirant that has given deep thoughts to the emergent world economic and social direction to be driven by the 4th industrial revolution and has taken that into account in his vision for a greater Nigeria. "We read your keynote speech at the Delta North Youth Summit in Asaba, Delta State last week and we concluded that any aspirant that showed that level of understanding of the challenges facing the Nigerian youth with such clear road map on how to engage the energy and creativity of the Nigerian youths for national transformation deserves the support of the youth. That is what we have come to tell you today"
