Food / How To Prepare The Nigerian Chapman by Sailorslounge: 1:23pm On Jun 06, 2018
Chapman In Nigeria - A lot of people don’t know that chapman was originated from Nigeria. It’s another thing we Nigerians should be proud of asides small chops and Jollof rice.
Chapman is widely accepted now, as people from every part of the world love to have a cup or more.

For people that are interested in knowing how to prepare the Nigerian Chapman, this a guide.

Chapman In Nigeria
Ingredients

¼ bottle La Casera drink or sprite

1 small pack Ribena (Black currant)

2-4 tablespoons Campari

2-3 dashes Angostura bitters

8 pieces’ curry leaves or Patmenja leaves

¼ Orange cut in segments

4-6 slices of Cucumber.

Ribena concentrated blackcurrant adds to the red colour and gives the drink a sweetened taste but it is optional.

Even though the Nigerian chapman contains a very small quantity of alcohol, I know there are those who will like to make a version that does not contain any trace of alcohol. If you want to make that, you can skip the Angostura Bitters but be warned, the Nigerian Chapman will not be the same without Angostura Bitters.

Method.

Freeze some of the LA casera or your Ribena in ice -cube trays. They will form iced cubes. You need like 4-6 iced cubes.

Refrigerate the remaining La casera and Ribena.

Cut the cucumber and oranges inti shapes you want. Wash and set aside the curry leaves.

Put in ½ the quantity of fruits and curry leaves at the base.

Pour these on the Campari, La Casera and Ribena.

Add the fruits and curry leaves that remain

End it with the ice cubes and sprinkle on some dash of Angostura bitters.

Sailors Lounge continues to show us why they are called the ‘Best Lounge/Bar in Lekki, Lagos’. They have a way of doing their things in the classiest fashion.

Saturday, 19th of May, 2018, Sailors Lounge clocked 6 years and the anniversary celebration was one of a kind. From the start to the end of the event, it was breathtaking.
At about 4pm, invited guests had started arriving in their luxurious cars to grace the event. Some of the guests took pictures on the red carpet. The beautiful looking waitresses were ready to welcome them in the warmest ways.

From the entrance of the lounge, with the alluring decorations, you could tell it was going to be a fun filled and amazing event and it sure did not disappoint.
The MC of the day was the veteran Comedian, Omo Baba (The finest comedian in Nigeria). He ensured the guests had a very good time.

Some of dignitaries present at the anniversary was Mr. Bode Owoeye (BODMAS Insurance brokers), Mr. Issa Omagwu (General Manager, GTB), Mr. Baji (Marine platform) and other notable people.
The live band started serenading the crowd at about 4:30pm. Food and drinks had to go out as soon as possible because there was a lot to go round.

The cake cutting started around 8pm and the invited guests took pictures. It’s a long standing tradition at the lounge, where the Captain, Eyitayo Fakehinde uses a samurai sword to cut the cake, while customers and staffs surround him to take pictures.

Finally, the highlight of the event was the fireworks, which lasted for about 20 mins. During this time, there was a standstill in Lekki, with people parking on the bridge to have a glimpse of the Fireworks.
