When buying/making inquiries from cotonou,there are so many factors you as the prospective customer have to consider.

**OAULITY OF VEHICLES - Prices may vary when it comes to purchasing a vehicle,Mr A might buy a accidented car,repaint and fix some certain parts in cotonou while Mr B walks in straight to buy a grade one vehicle with no issues but at the end,it won't be the same price.

**EXCHANGE RATE - If you're given an asking price with the current exchange rate of that day,it may not apply when you're ready to buy because of fluctuations but at the end you've a very fair idea of how much it's sold.

** BARGAINING POWER - Asking price gives you the power to bargain,even if there's a fluctuation in exchange,you can still bargain and a fair idea of the asking price helps a lot. AUCTION EXPORT STATES THE PRICE FOR A GRADE SUV HAS 29,300$.

NOW IF THE PRESENT EXCHANGE RATE OF THE DAY IS USED,CONVERTION TO NAIRA WILL BE AS FOLLOWS -

29,300 * 235 = N6,880,000

SHIPPING WILL COST 1,000 DOLLARS,IT BECOMES 1,000 * 235 = N235,000

WHILE CUSTOM DUTY AT TINCAN WILL BE N750,000 (IF SHIPPED THROUGH GRIMALDI).

TOTAL COST WILL BE N6,880,000 + N230,000 + N750,000 = N7,800,000.

CHEKI INDICATES THAT THE CHEAPEST RATE AN 010 4RUNNER WILL COST WILL BE AROUND N6.9M FOR A GRADE ONE SUV.

THESE TWO FACTORS ARE NOW USED TO CHECK THE PRICES IN COTONOU AND IT PAYS,WE ADVICE THE PROSPECTIVE CLIENT TO PURCHASE FROM.COTONOU BUT IF IT DOESNT PAY,WE ADVICE HIM/HER TO PURCHASE FROM LAGOS.

One way to improve your thread is by finding incredible bargain right there in Cotonou, snap them picture and post it here with the price. Many will make up there mind sooner than u can ever imagine including me because no one can resist bargain easily if he/she is in market for car.

BTW am still waiting for your findings regarding the mod light i asked and also for the price of 2001 corolla LE.
