Sorry bro I don't mean to discourage you but the truth is always bitter, you are just inspiring to come to a place where I have spent 3 years obtaining a master degree before leaving for Finland. Am quite sure all your contactsettings in the country will know me very well, I would have loved to disclose my identity but for some reasons I won't, I can tell you have assisted more than 20 Nigerians to Tallinn and one currently in Tartu...if you feel am not informed about the place no worry when u come ur eyes go see am....my candid advice is that u should bring enough money to sustain you...the 220€ eesti pays to student might not be sufficient, and at times they may demand for tax clearance before they start paying you and that could delay you from receiving it....want to remind you that you have once written me via my email in 2015 try to recollect...well it is a good option to come and study in Estonia cos uni of Tartu ranks among the best in Europe but if you thinking of making little money while there it will be extremely difficult.....this is just a word of advice bro...you can send me a private mail if you need more clarification

hakeembee:
Lol, that means i am more informed about the place than you. a place you have never been, you said its a jungle. i have a lot of poeple there, thanks for the advise anyway.

hakeembee:
Me i just got admission to University of Tartu Masters programme this year ni o.

Your rp decision has nothing to do with study deferment. The university decides on certain grounds especially on health related issues. While migri decides based on the rp application requirements.

oh okay, I think in that case the extension depends on the city and local police stations, my brother in vaasa applied for extension and got it within a week, so it is possible for you too to get it within a week

sirkezman:
im in finland aiidy.. i am asking about application for extension permit. most people do paper here but im going with the online route..

I submitted on 29th of April, and I got the decision on the 9th of June, which is about 6 weeks, though it was suppose to be 3 weeks cos the consular told me on the day I came for my fingerprint that I will get the decision within 3 weeks, after the 3rd week I called the Finish immigration and I was told my application is on queue due to shortage of staffs. I applied through the paper based at the embassy, but I will advice if you applying from Nigeria to apply through the Online means cos it is more faster for applicants very far away from Finland. I am presently in Estonia, which is like an hour and half from Finland by ship, so applying through paper based from here is very efficient

sirkezman:
oh cool. how long did the application take? most ppl around say it can take up to 4 months?? and did you apply online or paper?
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by saintpope: 6:47am On Jun 11, 2015
Yea the embassy returns your passport immediately on same day you are taking your finger prints, I would not say the embassy interviewed me because I wasnt asked any question, I only showed them my documents and credentials, so that isnt an interview.

presiade:
Hi, Congrats o. Does the embassy return applicant's Int'l passport immediately after the interview? Thanks.

adebasket97:
@saintpope, can we do this on arrival to finland or before?

But what we are to do at AIICO is health insurance not travel insurance
Aiico will only give u travel insurance and not health insurance, it is better u do it before coming to save cost, and if u feel u have lots of money then u can buy aiico and later buy health insurance when u get to Finland
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by saintpope: 7:03am On May 03, 2015
hello house in regard to the health insurance I will advice everyone not to get any insurance from Nigeria, because what is obtainable from Nigeria is just travell insurance and it differs from health insurance. The best option is to buy Swiss care insurance online and it is the cheapest you can get, and also valid all through the EU zone. This is what we have been using since we came to Europe and it is the best, it is different from.the travel insurance which aiico or mutual benefits will give you. Kindly go to www.Swisscare.com and you will be able to get one for €197 far more cheaper than SIP recommended by the universities. In case you need more clarifications pls write me here so I can address it. Thanks
