I see what you mean but a cover letter was defo included; we should have put pictures, BC etc like you said.. well lessons learnt now, will probably try again even though there was something like a 10 year clause on the letter, which is basically if applied again, it might or might not be granted! We shall see....

This is why I really do love the UK peeps though, you could see and make amends from their refusal letter if carefully observed.... Take dressing!!! I may be wrong in all my thoughts below though.

Hey guys, I totally forgot I posted here lol; here;s majority of the contents of the refusal.. I don't have the letter to hand but here's what my sister inlaw screen munched to me, basically everything..

I have refused your application fr visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph V4.2 because:-

You state that you will be visiting your daughter in law. You state that you are supported by family and that your son & DIL will help fund your trip. You were refused a visa on 5th June 2015 [that was her 2nd application)

-You have applied to visit the UK for 21 days, I acknowledge the importance of family visits in maintaining family ties and I have therefore given your application careful consideration. I do not doubt that your sponsor in the UK may well be a credible witness but I am mindful that your sponsor cannot guarantee intentions now that any undertakings or guarantees are not enforceable.

-you state in your application that you have savings of £278, you have not provided evidence of these funds as part of your application. I am therefore not satisfied that you have accurately demonstrated your own circumstances in Nigeria. Additionally you have provided no details of your relationship with your daughter in law outside your visa applications. I am therefore satisfied that you have not addressed the concerns of the previous Entry Clearance officer."

-In light of all the above, I am not satisfied as to your intentions in wishing to travel to the United Kingdom and will leave the UK at the end of your visit. Furthermore I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds available to cover your costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. Your application for a visit visa has been refused under Paragraph V4.2~

I'm yet to hear from them since 18th April and they haven't responded to my mails either. My travel date has passed and I hope it won't affect my application. Also I visited the hospital during my last stay which I stated in my application. I paid all my bills so I wonder if that's the delay?

I'll try and post the letter, but thanks all.. Just not a happy bunny :-( The woman feels we're not doing something right, but anyhow God knows best..

Applicants around the age of your mother inlaw most times find it easier to get Uk visa as it is understandable they are not travelling to the Uk to look for work. Hence they would come back 9/10.

What exactly does the refusal letter say? Does she have huge balances in her account and can't explain that? I'll advise you post the refusal letter here, maybe block off personal details like name, etc. There are people here that can break down the implications of the refusal and fetch you info of what you guys might have been missing out in the application. Cheers.

Well they picked up her passport and it was a refusal again (3rd time), every time they refused her, its always been an issue with her bank account even though I'm the one sponsoring her, paying for her tickets etc.. Such a shame bt I guess I will have to leave it and not even bother apply again for her..

Guys I am based in the UK; so I cannot personally go to the centre, however my Sister in law will go pick it up.. My only concern was why she was asked to pick it up before Friday... Thanks

These communications is either related to the age of applicant or if the applicant does not understand English. Pleas go the centre you submitted your mother in law application to pick up her passport. The out of the application can only be known when the passport is collected.

Infact I have no idea, It took lots of emails being sent from us as the sponsors and caling and chasing etc until I sent another email on Monday before they called today... Very stressful but we'll go on friday as requested, just not sure why they call on wednesday asking to pick up on friday, very weird...

Go to the centre on friday as stated. The questionnaire is a mere survey which you can fill if you want. However, how come your application took 2months

Hi, Please can anyone help here?

We applied for a UK visa for My Mother in law and after waiting 2 months, my sister inlaw got a call( as my mother inlaw is over 65years so she's the next of kin) that it is ready for pick up and to pick it up on friday, she got the call today (wednesday); hmm i'm really curious as to what that means.. My mother in law also got an email few hours after the call that we should please fill out a questionnaire to rate their service...Anyone got any experience please?
