Does the rain gun works effectively with bore hole if there are no nearby streams? Any other device/accessory to work with this?

It works best with large water.

With a borehole; you will need a modified arrangements.
1. You are not irrigating more than 1 acre
2. You will need a water reservoir (siting on the floor)/concrete pond.
3. You will connect your 3inch petrol powered pump to the reservoir and then to the raingun.

pls, my challenge is water source. Can one have it from a stream that is almost 500 metres away?

Why not liaise with the land owner of the portion Close to the water? The pump pressure wouldn't be adequate to push the water at high pressure due to friction loss.
