If you can own and run a farm and make profits consistently for 3years in Nigeria, most especially in the last 3years specifically, you can be successful anywhere in the world. The battles are real - insecurity, inflation, banditry, border closure, higher tariffs, electricity rate, cost of diesel etc |

At the moment, we are only able to cater for farmlands of 50 acres and above for maize, soybean, cassava etc in one location. This is strictly based on the economics of moving tractors around long distances and different farm locations. We are hoping to increase our fleet of tractors to be able to cater for more commercial farmers within the shortest possible time. As we know and acknowledge that farmland preparation are usually time bound and must be done per time, to maximise the planting windows available to us in the wet and dry season. |

Last year, we introduced our fast and efficient tractor hiring services for land preparation like ploughing, ridging, harrowing, slashing. This year we hope to expand our service range to include: 1. Farm land mechanised chemical spraying. 2. Group tractor driving and operation training. |

On that other thread I was labelled all manners of names and all shades of insults were hauled at me. I will attach my sales receipts as of 2016/17 and 2018 to show every thing said on price jacking are nothing but fallacies from the imagination of the writer and at best any thing to paint me in bad light. I say no more

Inspite of global warming and climate change, and the attendance fewer rains this year and going forward, what keys do the commercial maize growers (all grain growers) have to still be able to plant using rainfed, the only key they have is Planting date. I will not talk much about this. Those who have experienced it and understand the dynamics around planting dates will knod and concur. |

iyofason:Simply put the best form of irrigation for any crop at all is drip irrigation. From its ability to conserve water, avoid water wastage and feeds the water directly to the root zone of the crop. It's only down side as known is cost. Where cost is not an issue then its recommended. However, the use of drip irrigation might become limited when you have several acres of corn (3acres and above) to cultivate. Solely because of of only cost. If you prefer sweet corn, it's a fairly high valued crop and if you have the market where you are guaranteed access to market, selling farm fresh sweet corn using price per kilogram or per mature cobs, it makes economic sense and within a spate of 2-3 years you can break even. However, when we talk of growing dry corn - to be used in industry and feedmillers, and considering food security - I.e making food available for the general populace, here we are talking of 5acre and above up to 300 - 400 acres, you will agree with a different irrigation system will be sought. Here we talk of pivot irrigation system. Pivot system incorporates raingun sprinklers, furrow system or low hanging overhead irrigation. The financial outlay is the constraint here too, though it serves best in our clime. |

Attit:Soliloquizing. Dear Lord have mercy. I will let this pass. For the sake one's mental health and personal sanity. I will not let someone steal my joy and inner peace. Let posterity judge my intentions. Audhubillah. Satan is out to steal, kill and destroy. Esu pada leyin mi, esu pada leyin mi. I am grateful to God for where thus I am, where I was and grateful for where you intend to take me. I seek not to be ungrateful for your graces that abound everyday. Dear Lord let this pass, let thy will be done. Shalom. Igbe laa fe ewe! |

Attit:I have never bullied anyone offline and online. You can mudsling all you care. You cannot think for me, you cannot put words in my mouth. You cannot rubbish me. The thread in focus, I have not said my position. You cannot give me a position, neither too you cannot force me to align with you or any other person. As you can read again, before the 6-9 talk, I had not responded to any of the talk. I have only asked you to be patient and let him spit his views. You have made your position clear. But let others say their views and experiences and let the one with the superior argument/better thoughts be the guide for the audience. This online audience do not solicit our opinion, neither can any one force an idea on them. Your were Fluentinfo and now Attit, and what's in the middle. As you rightly opined, if I had known it's you I wouldn't bother persuade anyone to let another a right to his opinion to express it (9 and 6). Because I know you never yield to any others opinion. That's who you are based on your personal belief. I have no problems with that. To the issue on me misleading the audience up here and elsewhere. I will only rest only when you can just highlight one place where I had done that. I challenge you and anyone once again to say where I had led them financially to the gallows in this line of agriculture. I have shared my farmer experiences on growing cucumber with raingun sprinkler, ofada rice farming, cassava pricing dynamics, beekeeping, tractor driving and training, etc and other topics as its fancied and appears to me. I dont force bullshit on anyone. I used to aggressively sell raingun - 2014 through 2018, then drip irrigation. I have not seen you advertise any of such to presuppose we are competitors. I am never in a race with anyone and move at my pace while sharing my thoughts for who ever care to listen. Dont band with anyone. If you will diss me/insult me, do that wherever I goved. But not this charade of "kill one to support one". At least now you are rooting for your weather man. I am not a wash off, I am not a right-off either. Dont bully me to say your thought. I will say whatever I wish to say whenever It so pleases me. My instincts tells me something, that was where I was writing about mental health and one's sanity because I suspect the venom in the post and the motives of writing if traced deeply might be in discord. The old witch woman cried yesterday, then the baby cried and died today. Does that sound familiar. Whatever infuriates you is what you must state but not insult my existence to make feel good with your self. Why do you do that? Why talk down on people even if they feed from the crumbs from your table. You must apologize to me, for the error. Read over the post and see your responds to me what uncalled and unwarranted too. You have erred. Acknowledge and say sorry. Look at the post link and see the responds you seek and say sorry once and for all. https://www.nairaland.com/6616720/why-start-farm-without-thinking |

Attit:Hello friend, I take exception to this your unguarded utterrances. I have not made a submission for or against deployment of drip irrigation for maize, yet you described me with these insults and reproach. You need to tender an unreserved apology to my person. It is purely a mischief against my person and integrity. You have to apologize without wasting time. Your refusal to tender an apology to me is a signal to me that you have an agenda against my person. But in retrospect, what exactly is my offence against you to want this onslaught against me? At least to the best of my knowledge, I do not engage in any shabby transactions that involve hustling or deceptions. If you have had any interactions with me in the past or know anyone who got hurt mildly or severely by engaging in my services ( purely sales of raingun sprinklers, driptapes and spraytubes) or anyone who has read anywhere where I had advocated or suggested any practices that are to the detriment of the reader's agricultural enterprise or investments, let such say it loud and now too. I am highly appalled by this. I await to receive a call from you to apologize to me. I do not engage in 'kill one to raise one', if you have superior argument present it rather than shout at the top of your voice without engaging the person who has contrary opinion. In terms of sharing correct information, enlightenment and advocacy, I have done so honestly without hold back or trickery and within the limits of my understanding and practices. This is similar or exactly what you seek to achieve. However, I have not deactivated and reactivated new account to get at persons who have contrary opinion to me. I am waiting for your apology or I am waiting for more direct onslaught against me ( in more direct forms) than banding me together with your perceived enemies. Is this to position yourself as better credible source of information on productivity or profitability in agriculture? Just like I had replied several times ago, Let posterity judge my intentions. How do you intend to make all Nigerians farmer who are small holder farmers to be able to install compulsory drips irrigation to grow maize? We know it takes people time to adopt new innovation and accept better ways of farming. |
