Check if the exhaust has contact with the body of your car.. if there's any, adjust it..
And be sure some noise does not emanate from exhast most especially when we re on high speed. Wind can Penetrate some points, making it sound like it's the exhaust

There is this fake exhaust leak tapping sound on my glk only when accelerating fast... i have removed the exhaust system to diagnose where the leak was coming from..

All catalytics converter are intact without deform.

during this procedures we fhave found a cracked cone where the exhaust is joined together and sone other parts with leaks. We removed the exhaust manifolds; bank 1 and 2 to check the gaskets and there was no others leaks...

With all these, their is no improvement in the sound. Another guess is a cracked or leaking plugs which i havent done yet.

No check engine light, no related fault code

Yea, the engine coolant temp sensor keeps sending signal to the ECU that the engine is not yet operating at normal temp, the ECU keeps sending signal to pump more fuel to achieve that purpose.

The temp gauge is supposed to be at the middle gauge for normal operating engine temp

Thanks for the helpful response boss. I have had this overlooked since i got the vehicle, and I have also been experiencing drastic fuel consumption... I installed the thermostat yesterday and the fuel mileage has improved � �

It's not ideal for the engine. You can imagine my temp gauge on a cold rainy day being on the cold zone day in day out. The fuel consumption too is another headache.

The issue is getting a qualified mechanic to fix it. Oga GAZZUZZ is in far Lagos.

From Google search I think the P0125 is pointing at faulty Engine coolant temperature sensor a. K. a "cold start switch"

Don't want to be throwing parts around. Wanna be sure

Work on installing the thermostat first, then check to see if the P0125 code pops up after that...
