No, I don't live in Nigeria. The problem I am facing is with documents which will prove that we are siblings. Father name is not mentioned on his Canadian Passport. It is however mentioned on other local documents but all of them carry incorrect date of birth. So, will it affect my case badly to submit those documents which have his wrong date of birth but adequately prove that we are siblings? ferdimako: |
Hello all, I am facing a difficult situation here and hoping someone could guide me correctly. For my FSWP 2014 application, I shall submit my brother's details under ''Relative in Canada'' section. In order to prove our relation, I can submit his old ID card or secondary school certificate or can even get a birth certificate from the local government office. The actual problem is that his date of birth in all those documents would differ from his passport. I visited the local government office today and told them that I want to get a birth certificate for my brother with the same D.O.B as of the passport. They told me that I'll have to submit a case in court and they'll give a decision...all in all it is a lengthy process. Is there a possibility to submit a birth certificate with a different D.O.B compared to the passport and attach an affidavit by my father stating that ''Mr. X is my real son and his actual date of birth is ....'' for my visa application? Thank you. |

Hi All, There a total of 11 forms listed at www.cic.gc.ca which are used for FSWP. I am applying for permanent residence under federal skilled worker visa program 2014. I am single and live with my parents. My parents are financially dependant. I have never lived in any other country except my country of residence for more than a month. I am not using a representative for my visa application. In my opinion I need to fill out the following forms: 1. Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) (PDF, 536 KB) 2. Schedule A: Background / Declaration (IMM 5669) (PDF, 286 KB) 3. Schedule 3: Economic Classes – Federal Skilled Worker (IMM 0008 – Schedule 3) (PDF, 191 KB) 4. Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) (PDF, 79 KB) 5. Fee Payment Form – Application for Permanent Residence (IMM 5620) (PDF, 27 KB) 6. Document Checklist – Centralized Intake Office (IMM 5612) (PDF, 233 KB) and don't require to fill out the following: 1. Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) (PDF, 472 KB) 2. Supplementary Information – Your travels (IMM 5562) (PDF, 21 KB) 3. Separation Declaration for Minors Travelling to Canada (IMM 5604) (PDF, 21 KB) 4. Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409) (PDF, 19 KB) 5. Use of a Representative (IMM 5476), if applicable. (PDF, 55 KB) Am I correct? Please guide me. Thanks. |
Thank you damkollins for your quick and detailed reply. Very grateful! |
I apologize in advance if this is an impractical question but I have to ask.. I have requested WES to deliver my ECA report to my brother's residential address in Toronto. I was thinking that I can ask my brother to fax me the report for reference, complete my application, send it to my brother's address in Toronto and he can replace the fax with the original. He could then post it to CIO, Nova Scotia. Would CIO, Nova Scotia object to this method as the sender name and address on the courier envelope won't match the applicant's name and address? P.S. I spent only CAD 15 to send my credentials to WES, Toronto but now it'll cost me CAD 60 to receive them at my address. |
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. As most of you are aware of the fact that Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is required if one is applying for immigration under Federal Skilled Worker Visa Programme. I am a CFA charterholder and my past work experience should be accepted for NOC 1113 titled Securities Agents, Investment Dealers and Brokers. My question is am I supposed to obtain ECA for CFA designation? CFA charter is recognized globally and quite popular in Canada by employers and regulatory bodies equally. More and more employers in the investment management industry desire the CFA designation when considering prospective employees. Regulatory bodies also look favourably upon it when considering applicants for membership. Please guide me. Thanks P.S. I am including two links in this email which might help you to address my case if this is the first time you received a query like this. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/credentials/who-is-involved.asp |
