Me I think I'll start looking for shorts from Asian session sef, but I'll wait to see how today's candle closes, I'm seeing a huge bearish engulfing candlestick on the daily and this maybe the beginning of a long correction on gold, if I'm right on this then we may likely see continuation of buys in February. January will be more of corrections and consolidations.

My reasons are;
Next week, we are more likely to get a strong NFP report
If trump announces the next Fed chairman, we may see a short term rally and then a massive dump (classic buy the rumor sell the news move) because we all know that trump is going to pick a puppet Fed chair who will cut rates aggressively hence all ready priced in
And lastly, majority of wall street traders are still on holiday

Enter this new year with a very strong mind and it will come to pass soonest. One naija lady ( I have forgotten her x handle as I am typing this) was crying day in , day out , even being a university student at the beginning of 2024 because she was on a loosing streak, loosing her accounts without getting funded and always thought she was being monitored by evil village people. But guess what? This December alone , she has withdrawn over $120k from 2 different prop firms. I think over $80k from FTMO alone. She was featured on their leaderboard too. Her profitable journey started this year with her first 4 figures payout I think around June. Na our own naija babe ooo.
So , we no go give up until we see the end either by rough drive or unpleasant weather, traffic and journey. The most important thing is to get to the end.

@ back to trading, personally I won't suggest buying gold this week or next week unless things turn out reversed. Reason is that yearly candle has to shed some pips to create wicks for next year candle. It must likely happen with many candles that rose or dip heavily this year. That wick must happen. So check your yearly and monthly candle from today and know your bias.
