Since April 2016 when the ban on liquor in Bihar came into effect, the state goverment hiked tariffs of several state run services from houses taxes, electricty to lang registration. In the month of April, 2020 itself, Bihar's revenue falls 82%. Not to forget, the govt is losing nearly Rs 4000 crore revenue annually due to alcohol ban.

Also , the driving license fee in Bihar was hiked to several folds and now people have to pay nearly about Rs 6000 for 4 wheelers. It willbe interesting to see how much these issues will affect Nal Jal Yojana of Bihar in elections.
