Media control will not work in Nigeria cause people are hungry over here, so much ethnic groups that'll always never agree, unlike China- so many factors are against you.

If a government wants to control a people, there must be war to serve as pretext to begin a nationwide mind control campaign. Alternatively, such government must first make its citizens happy or at least comfortable, else the same people you want to control would bring down the government in anger.
