Restart the laptop and see if it's solved.

If it is not solved, then go to device manager through control panel. Check if there is error icon on the audio after you right click and select 'scan for hardware changes'

If there is error try and update the audio driver through the hp websites

Right click the Audio file u want to play, click play with, choose the Audio player u want to use in playing ur Audio file and click OK!

Its a movie I want to play, and I've tried that already, used VLC, it played but there was no audio output. Even to play song sef, there was no output.
