teeebugs: Though the 2014 Commonwealth Games has come and gone, Team Nigeria athletes made the country proud by winning 11 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals.

Nigeria got its highest number of gold medals from power-lifting as it provided four gold medals. Athletics produced three gold, weightlifting produced two and wrestling produced two.

Blessing Okagbare blessed Nigeria with two gold medals from 100m and 200m.

Another athletic gold came from long jump, courtesy of Ese Brume, while Heavyweight powerlifting gold was won by Abdul Azeez Ibrahim.

Powerlifiting Lightweight gold came courtesy of Kehinde Paul, Obiji Loveline won female powerlifting gold, and Powerlifiting Lightweight came from Oyema Esther.

In weightlifting, 63KG gold was won by Adesanmi Oluwatoyin and Usman Maryam claimed 75kg female gold.

Nigeria’s two wrestling gold medals came from the 53kg courtesy of Adekuoroye Odunayo and 58kg won by Adeniyi Aminat.
